TV in room needs major upgrade. Breakfast was terrible- choices were slim and not refilled. Both mornings the coffee urn was also not refilled and there wasn’t any staff in the breakfast room to ask for help. Bed was fine as was the separate living room couch area. Bedroom could use a comfortable chair.

Worked for us. Check in, and out was a snap. From what we saw the hotel was clean. Our room was ready for us, Clean. Bed was comfy. All we needed. No complaints here. Would stay here again. The breakfast was pretty much what you expect these days.

For a normal hotel it’s fine, for a marriot it’s meh. Toilet water pressure is sad. Hotel room is large and clean. Beds are fine. Breakfast is not the best, we skipped it. Overall it’s fine and gets the job done for providing a quiet comfortable room.

I picked this hotel last minute due to name brand and rate. Upon arrival the front desk staff was super nice. Price was really good an the area is safe. There is a McDonald's, Chic Fil A, gas station convenience store and a few others right within the immediate area. 1/4 mile from i275 and it took about 15 minutes to get to The Pier in St. Pete. It's about 20 minutes or so to the Clearwater beach. The room was super clean and very comfortable bed and pillows, Mini fridge, pull out couch, good A/C, and it felt really clean. The only thing that bothered me is that this is the room setup like you'd expect from Springhill Suites with the "ritzy" divider wall, desk, couch, etc. More of a stripped down version of that setup. I didn't care because it was just me but I'm used to Springhill Suites that have the super nice rooms with the wall break, desk, couch and just a more upscale style if that makes any sense. Either way it worked for me so I'd def recommend this location if you don't need to be that close to the beach or St Pete. Te breakfast was decent as well and I left stuffed due to a really good selection and some hot food choices as well. There is a pool but I didn't use it because of the late check in but I would have given more time.

Clean. Excellent service by the 2nd Fl East housekeeper and all of the front desk staff. Only 4 stars because the maintenance staff needs to keep up with repairs a bit better. Nothing too bad, loose faucet, iced up fridge, HVAC seemed inefficient. All manageable.

I would agree with most of the recent reviews regarding the property. It definitely needs a spruce up. There were never any pool towels available when we went down to go to the pool; and the spa/jacuzzi was only mildly hot, less warm than a normal jacuzzi with so-so jets. We didn't get in. The elevator stopped working the 2nd day we were there and STILL was not operational when we checked out Sunday morning. The only thing that was a saving grace was the staff-- Kenyatta and Sanyara were both EXCELLENT. Sanyara basically worked by herself in the evenings and had a great and friendly attitude despite trying to check in folks, handle guest requests and other issues. When we checked in our room, one of the lights was not working and she was johnny-on-the-spot to replace the lightbulb. We also didn't have enough towels for the 3 of us staying in the suite. She also got us linens for the sleeper sofa right away and provided us the amount of towels that we needed. It took two trips downstairs to ask for what was needed; but each time Sanyara had a great attitude and was pretty quick at getting it done. Kenyatta was the day person and she also worked alone most of time. When we asked for extra pillows, she didn't bring them to us--too much activity at the desk for her to leave-- but she had them set aside for us to pick up when we returned to the hotel later in the day. These two ladies did a fabulous job of customer service, despite the problems with the elevator and lack of hotel staff and so-so cleaning staff. I would probably not stay at this hotel again, but the service of the staff made our stay enjoyable.

The overflowing garbage cans outside the lobby set the tone for the weekend. Reserved a King Room, but at check in we were assigned room 206 a two full sized bed room. The room had very little counter space & an appalling pie sized stain on the couch cushions. The cleaning crew must not be able to reach the dust bunnies on top of the pictures on the wall. The toilet had cigarette burns. The cleaning crew did not refresh the room on Day2. We reused coffee cups. Other Guests, just left garbage & pool towels in the hallway all weekend. We were told that there would be omelets for breakfast, but on both days only sausage biscuits were offered. We repeatedly offered to help the staff make coffee just to get some since they were possibly understaffed. Thank God for Cracker Barrel & chick fila close by. Pool towels were on short supply, & the gym door lock required 5+ attempts to open. open.

First of all, the staff is terrible including the manager, front desk clerk and housekeeping. The entire stay was unsatisfactory. I was told one amount for incidentals, but I was charged much more. When I got to the room, there were no towels. I had to go back down to request towels. There was blood on the bathroom wall. The carpet was disgusting. We showered and returned the towels we used for clean ones and Charles ,the front desk associate, preceeded to hand us unfolded linen. Later that night, I called down for linen for the sleeper sofa. Charles very rudely said "you have to come down and get it." So I said ok. I went down and he handed me the fitted sheet and the flat sheet. I asked him for a blanket and pillows. He then tells me that it's a Marriott policy that 3 pillows go on each bed, and I have to take 1 pillow from each bed and use it on the sleeper sofa. I then told him that I work for a Marriott as well, and that is not a Marriott policy. He tried to correct himself and said that it was a Springhill policy, and then he said if Ihe had pillows then he would give them to me. I told him that was all he had to say. That he didn't have any extra pillows which is understandable. Instead, he wanted to argue about policy. So I stopped the back and forth and asked him for his name and when the manager would be in. He then told me that he was the guest services manager. I said ok, and I went back to my room. I ended up going to buy extra pillows so we would have enough pillows. My mom went down later and informed me that Charles was sitting in the break room playing cards. The next morning I spoke with a gentleman explaining what happened the night before. He informed me the manager would be in around noon. We had to leave the hotel before noon. So I asked the housekeeping for more towels as we turned in the ones we used again. The housekeeper told me that she would have to go get them. I informed her we had to leave and just to leave, and to please leave clean towels in the room. Later on that night around 11 pm, we returned to the hotel. Our door was open. So, I'm assuming it was left open all day after the housekeeper put the towels in our room. All of our belongings were in that room. However, nothing was missing. My mother and I went back to the front desk. The manager was in, and I explained everything. She seemed concerned about Charles's behavior, but she didn't seem very concerned about our other complaints. My mom asked her was there a certain policy they had to follow due to Covid 19, because the elevator was disgusting and hadn't been cleaned she said yes there is a policy and they follow it; however they expect us to do our part and use hand sanitizer as well. My mom then said the elevator button panel has had the same filth on it since we checked in. The walls on the elevator were filthy and the carpet hadn't been swept. The hand sanitizer dispensers were even disgusting. The manager told us they did wipe the buttons down but not the walls because no one really touches them, which isn't true because there were handprints on them. Plus, I have a 2 year old, and she wants to touch everything. I had to hold her hands and tell her dont touch anything. The manager then said she will have someone clean it. We went to our room. The next day we got on the elevator to leave again, and it still had the same marks and hand prints. She must have talked to Charles about his behavior because I noticed a slight difference in his attitude; however, he still was not a very friendly associate. After complaining we seen there was very little to no change, so we stooped complaining. I stayed 6 days. On day two we went and bought cleaning supplies, wash cloths and towels. We cleaned and disinfected the filthy, stained up sofa, the walls, bathroom and floors. We would have left the hotel, and went to another ;however, the money we had was tied up into that one. If we would have checked out, it would have taken several days to get the money refunded to us . I am very unhappy with this stay and would like our money back.  I am ashamed The Marriott name is on this nasty, disgusting hotel. I have complained to Marriott and made several calls. The only response I have received was the manager would be in tou h with me. Well, that was a month ago. I still haven't gotten mo response. If I continue, with my review, It would be a book.

We are Marriott Gold members and usually stay at the nicer properties, this was a quick unplanned trip and after reading the reviews I though (wrong)this was a nice typical Marriott hotel I don't know what kind of hotel are the people giving this hotel good reviews used to staying at because this is a Horrible hotel, the first room we got had a full pretzel next to the bed, the bed had hairs on it, the bathroom had tissue paper inside the basket and some of the lights didn't work, we stayed there for 6 nights , our room was on the third floor and the elevator stopped working the second night all the way to the day we left, we had to carry all of our luggage down the stairs, there was a room card stuck with gum to the stair's rail for 3 days, avoid this place if you are looking for a clean , decent place to stay.

There was green mold on the windows and the screens were torn. There was no sound insulation. To the point we could hear conversations and footsteps all around us. Key scanner box was missing on one end of the hotel. On the other end, the key scanner was there, but the entire lock was missing from the door. Anyone could have access to the hotel, pool areas, etc. We were booked for 5 nights, but didn't feel safe there after discovering the missing lock. The manager never asked how our stay was or why we were paying extra to leave early. There are much nicer hotels in the area for the same money. Stay away!
