Stayed here one night in November and really enjoyed it! The location is excellent and the views of the canals are beautiful. The rooms are spacious but furniture and decor is very dated. Everything worked fine and we slept pretty well on the bed. Loved the heated pool and hot tub right by the water. I would definitely stay here...

I love the Sea Captain. Just returned home to Massachusetts from a week long stay at the Sea Captain. It is quaint, quiet, and relaxing. Very clean and the staff is friendly. There is a great view of the ships and boats from the lawn. The beach is a two-minute walk across the street.

The area is full of huge chain hotels. This is a small place that is right on the water and easy to walk to everything. The staff was very nice. Don't expect a 4-Seasons experience...that is not what this place is. There was a nice living room with a small kitchenette. It's not the most modern place you have ever...

Stayed at the Sea Captain while on vacation and it was nice given its age. Very well kept on the outside and the rooms were nice. Enjoyed being able to go out and sit overlooking the pier. Didn't get her name but dark-haired girl in the office was very helpful. Maids were great and made animal shapes out of the...

This is a bit off old Florida in the midst of high rise hotels. We always opt to stay at the survivors of development in beach locations. Sea Captain was an excellent choice. Situated right on the water and within walking distance of the Pier, the Marina and the beach, we were not disappointed. The staff and room were more...

I'll start with the only real negative - it's not cheap. We could have had a room in the Hyatt or Hilton for a similar price (some cheaper in fact). And i'm sure they would have provided mod cons and luxuries etc some people may like. If that's you, I probably wouldn't stay here. Sea Captains Resort is quite old...

Upon checkin Hannah was there to great us and make sure all went as planned with our arrival. It was even topped off with the perfectly timed delivery of beautiful flowers for my wife. The Resort was extremely clean, the staff was and is the definition of customer service. The pool and sauna were clean and well kept. Housekeeping did...

Stay was perfect, family had traveled here for 2 decades. Ashley was always accommodating and pleasant. Can't wait to return and escape from snowy Michigan to this hidden paradise. March will be here before we know it.

Location was perfect. Views were great. Charming little place. Dated, but still fun. Hannah the desk clerk was the best! She took great care of things!! Heard it was closing, but that would be a big mistake..... Just update things... It'll be fine....
