This Super 8 was a good choice for an overnight stay while I was traveling on a budget. It’s not real fancy and that’s kind of the point but it was pretty clean and seemed safe. I’d stay again if I’m ever passing through.

Hotel is ideally placed for the budget traveller being on the city bus route to the beach and also the express to Tampa. My room was clean and spacious, breakfast was adequate if you are not a big breakfast eater and all the staff I met were friendly and helpful. I recommend it to any budget minded person

This is a basic, no frills hotel, obviously older but updated. I don't have a problem with the room. However their early checking policy is ridiculous. I arrived approximately 2 hours early before the check in and was told they had a room available but if I wanted to check in early it would be $20. extra. I wouldn't have as much of a problem with this if they had to clean a room specifically for me, but but since they already had one available this seemed excessive. I have traveled all over the country and I've never had to pay a fee for an early check in if a room was available and already cleaned..

Very sketchy hotel, did not feel safe here at all!........We booked this place as a cheap place to lay our heads before heading to the airport early the next morning. We arrived at the front entrance and i knew immediately that it was a mistake to book here. We went to check in and the front desk clerk was on a personal call while checking us in the whole time. He was very rude and we seemed to be bothering him. We proceeded to our room on the 2nd floor and were greeted with a lovely smell of stale nicotine and the room was very outdated and frankly quite gross. I didn't even want to leave my suitcase open on the floor. We didnt feel safe venturing out past daylight so quickly went to get food and drinks from the gas station and stayed in room until morning. I had to call the front desk to ask for the wifi password and was once again spoken to very rudely with him saying "its on the card that we gave you!" and then hung up. The next morning our cab driver kindly let us know that it was a good thing we weren't there a few days ago as someone she knew was killed in the back parking lot of the hotel!
Do yourself a favor and book the Holiday Inn directly across the street. It may be a few $ more but well worth it.
Also reading some of the reviews here and cant believe that people gave this a 5/5. Obviously people going in to give fake reviews.

I just can't say enough good things about the staff here. They took terrific care of us for the 2 and a half months we stayed. The pool is nice and breakfast is always restocked throughout the hours of 6am and 9am (hours during which it is available) Would highly recommend this hotel!

I was definitely paying ($154) for location; this is an older building, but very close to a well-stocked gas station and next to a Taco Bell and McDs! The overnight desk worker was the nicest person I've ever met!! He asked me when my flight was, and asked if I'd like coffee available at that time (4am!) and it was there at 4, waiting for me. What a sweet young man!
The room was pretty clean except the drapes had some stains and the bedsheets were a bit stained. It's not the dirtiest place I've ever stayed in, and I will probably do a bit more price comparisons next time, but I'd stay there again just because of that employee.
(Also, there was plenty of toilet paper - this is during a toilet paper shortage due to the Covid-19 virus).

I booked it for 2 days and 10 minutes after I been in the room I seen roaches crawling everywhere, the remote did not have batteries no trash can and the place was filthy.
I asked the manager if she could put me in another room and she said no because the room is not clean anymore since I checked in????
I left the hotel and reputed them to the BBB as well as the local health dept and contacted my attorney

This was such a horrible experience. The front desk guy Fernando smokes marijuana between guests right by the front door, you can smell it as soon as you walk up. The front desk smells like mold, the door to our room was broken. It just opens without the key. The room is so nasty and you can smell the mold all in the halls and even worse in the room. When we asked for a refund because we have an infant and couldn’t stay there with him, the manager deven and chase couldn’t bother to deal with us and said they’re unavailable even though they were consistently on the phone with Fernando in front of us. Then Fernando stormed out while I was asking for a refund and proceeded to smoke in front of the entrance. I don’t know who would think that place would be safe for an infant.

The staff in the reception is very nice and friendly execept for one person. He does not say Hi, look at you or recognise your presense at any time.
This hotel is not for a family with small kid(s) - since the front of the hotel is ground for a lot of weird people who gather at evening and smoke weed etc - weed can be smelled all over the hotel, also in the room at night.
