I love this little Hunni hole is what I call it . Great little spot as close to the sand as u will find anywhere there in Clearwater. Walking distance to plenty of places to eat and great music right next door or u don’t haft ti leave your room u can sit on the balcony n listen to it all .
Now we know why the price is cheap!! There are few good things. First the location to everything is awesome!!!!!!! The beach is well cared for and the pool and hot tub are really nice. However, there are no chairs to rent or take to the beach or towels either. Your can go to the beach next door to get those but you have to stay on that beach. The bar next door is really nice and has good food and drinks!!!! You can bring those over but again, no place to sit. The pool has a rail around it but I am worried that a good gust of wind will take it down, do not lean on it. Inside the hotel the smell of marijuana is almost unbearable. Now we know why the doors were all propped open when we got there. The inside is in major need of upgrading. The luggage carts are all different and they, along with the ice.machine, all have names with laminated signs attached to them telling to be careful with the "staff" as they are overworked. And FYI, do not try and fill your yeti cup with ice, apparently that is considered a cooler and that is not allowed. Inside the room I thought I took a trip back to the 70's. The thick green curtains were something from a museum. The shower rod was very loose and almost falling off. The fan in the bathroom barely worked. The light fixtures were from the same era as the curtains. Our room had a small sink with a two burner stove on it, we didn't try it. There was a small fridge under it and then directly across from this was another small fridge. The outdoor balcony was nice but the music from the hotel 2 places away kept us up til 1am. The electrical outlets will not keep anything in as they are so loose the charger for my cell phone kept falling out. There is a sign at the desk that says they don't do daily room cleaning and I am not sure if it is weekly either. You are to place your trash in bags out in the hall and someone will get it later. There are two washers and dryers but no laundry detergent. Overall, glad we only stayed one night but next time I will pay more and go somewhere else.…
Great location and free parking that’s about it. Grotty room and filthy carpet you literally need to put shoes on to walk around the room. We were there 2 nights Saturday and Sunday and we had very little sleep due to excessive VERY loud music BLASTING from the hotel nxt door till 2 am. Then till 1 am Sunday. Air con is so noisy as well so that’s kinda drowns out some of the noise. Pool/beach was overrun Saturday but a lot quieter Sunday. Not sure why you need a wristband to access the private beach/pool they don’t provide anything like towels/beds /chairs etc. Beach is much nicer further along. God help anyone staying at the Shepards hotel nxt door if they want some peace and quite it was shaking the floor in our room it was that loud. Pay a little more and stay further along or get a room well away from shepards hotel. We were glad to leave this hotel. But Clearwater is a beautiful place with many nice restaurants glad we visited.…
Very nice clean right on the beach me and hubby really enjoyed it water kinda hard but other than that great hotel staff cool breakfast in the morning very cool will come again next summer you won't regret it
Right on the beach, couldn’t have asked for better access to the beach. Room was clean. It actually had a little stovetop as well as microwave and fridge. Clean, staff was kind and attentive. Beds were very comfortable. It was basic for a hotel but I’m not picky as long as it is clean and comfortable. It wasn’t fancy if that’s what you are looking for. It was very close to many food places and activities. We walked majority of the time there.
Location is great. But…. No services during stay for this price was a bit much. At least they could vacuum the room every couple days. We stayed a week and you pretty much tend your own room. We had to take towels and get new ones. They should rip all carpet up and put new flooring as it stinks because carpet is old. No breakfast. Hard to park. Yes it’s located in a great place but could use some updating.
Horrible! This hotel was disgusting. We checked in and got to room. The room was dirty. There was hair in the bed. The door didn’t even close tightly. The ceiling had paint covering mold in the corners. The carpet had holes. The cupboard above the disgusting fridge was all rusted. It was gross! Pool was cloudy couldn’t even see the steps. The beach view was beautiful, but that was only good thing. We checked out within 30 minutes.
Awful front desk service. Truly horrendous customer service. If you want to actually enjoy your vacation find another hotel. The elderly blonde front desk manager was extremely rude and unprofessional. If you are considering this hotel I suggest you read through the reviews and you’ll find a trend with the one star reviews. The front desk manager is negatively impacting this hotel.
Was my first visit to Clearwater beach and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I was a bit concerned about our choice of hotel but it really exceeded my expectations! Valentina, at the front desk, was so friendly and helpful! We had a great view of the water from our balcony and the room was everything we could want, comfortable beds, cold refrigerator, and good air conditioning. We never had a problem with parking the car in the hotel (free) lot. We loved the pool deck, right on the beach. The bands at Shephards next door were loud but when we closed the balcony door it blocked the noise. Actually we enjoyed sitting on the balcony, listening to the music! Everything you need is in walking distance, restaurants, groceries, liquor store, and miniature golf. I wouldn't hesitant to book here again as it's a great value for this location.…
We really enjoyed our visit to Clearwater, Florida. The Gulfview hotel was the perfect place for us. Want to mention desk clerk Valentina who was so helpful with my booking and also once we arrived, yes, there is a band at the hotel next door, but when we closed the door on balcony you barely hear it. We enjoyed the free entertainment. Location was great, convenient to grocery, ABC store and restaurants. We walked to all of these. Beds were very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
