This place is a total dump! it needs major updating, it is shame because it is in a great location. When we got to our room we had to go get a bug bomb because of the roach poop everywhere. We also had to clean the room and balcony because of so much roach poop and dirt very NASTY! Be careful...

My kind of place, laid back, on the water, great location. Having the Crystal River Ale House on site is a big bonus, great food and drink specials. Service at the restaurant was excellent.Didn't take a manatee boat out this time, we'll be back to try that next time.

Felt like a return to the old days of Florida tourism. The view is phenomenal, and the location - although interesting to drive to - is convenient. While the room was quiet, clean, and comfortable, it had definitely seen better days. Cosmetic work needed, as well as some deferred maintenance and some decent coffee (only available through the cashier/lobby), but...

The people who run this place are idiots. If they would just do a little maintenance/renovation, they would have a goldmine. The hotel overlooks Kings Bay in a lovely setting. Instead, they offer, at premium prices, some of the nastiest hotel rooms you can imagine. They aren't nice people either. They yelled at us for driving our scooters on the...

This is written for the over 50 crowd. My wife says to take the high road in this review. The location on the water at Kings Bay, on site access to a kayak and dive shop, restaurant and bar where you don't have to leave is excellent. Don't hold against the hotel that Building A's water view is impacted by...

We recently stayed here and will plan to return soon. This was recommended by a colleague (we are from Colorado). This is quirky (Elvis Presley stayed here in 1961) and eclectic. It is not the high rise or new development, but rather charming and super-friendly. The rooms were clean - and yes it is older, but it was refreshing to...

It is old but fine. Real cable instead of Hotelvision. It's clean, quirky, and in a better location than most anything twice its price. The river view would be phenomenal from a cot. Good restaurant with unexpectedly good steak and crab legs. We were heading up the coast to avoid I-75 and just lucked into this place. We'll go back...

Our room was very clean and the balcony provided a gorgeous view of Kings Bay during sunset. The Ale House is right downstairs and has great food beers and games. The manatee tours are so close and convenient. I want to live here!

Our first impression was not so positive. The blue building didn't look that well from the outside. When we came in, the room was big. One room to put the suitcases, one bathroom and the bedroom. The quality of the room wasn't that good, but the view on Kings bay was just amazing. We saw vultures, dolphins and many other...
