One night stay and such a lovely experience and proprietor was such an interesting and engaging person!! We were traveling from Ok. to Ocala, Florida and were SO pleasantly surprised with Charming surroundings and wonderful breakfast the next morning!! A return to an elegant and genteel place in time. Lovely experience. Would return.

We are on our way from Jax to New Orleans- needed a place to crash for the night. Found this place on Trip Advisor and we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. Very clean, staff super friendly, great breakfast, and it's like stepping back into the 1900s!

A very nice historic hotel in a neat little town. We were there only over night but would have to spend more time exploring the town. Everything was excellent except one suggestion, since there are no coffee makers in the room, and the hotel cafe does not open until 8:00, have coffee and hot water available in the lobby throughout... This was our first stay at the hotel. We found it last year when we ate at Bogey's while traveling to the Panhandle. We decided to try the hotel this year and we were not disappointed. The owners could not have been more accommodating. The room was not overly large but was charming and supremely comfortable as is everything about... More

This isn't the first time we've been in Defuniak or even the first time staying here. This is the experience to write a review. We got to town late and didn't book n but one night. With the hotel completely booked we were sure to have to move again. Instead the staff found a way to accommodate us and even... More

We spent only a night but so wished it could have been longer. Have gone to Seaside, FL for over 20 years and love the Panhandle. We stopped here on our way back from the Orlando area and just adored the place. Our room was comfortable and loaded with personality. The owner, Leigh, couldn't have been sweeter. There are art... We spent a wonderful evening at the Hotel DeFuniak. The hostess, Leigh, was warm, friendly and very informative. The antiques and decorations in the room were very nice and much more pleasant than the standard hotel furniture.

This old B&B takes you back in time with superb hospitality and antique decor. Each room has a theme. A cozy fireplace in the lobby warms you from the cool air outside (during the winter). You feel like royalty from the moment you walk in. Tom, the owner of the B&B, called to make dinner reservations at the adjoining restaurant,... More

We were happy to discover The Hotel DeFuniak and to meet the wonderful people who run it and work there. The historic building is full of character, and each room has it's own personality. Our room was pretty small, but it was nice. Our adult children were in the suite with two rooms. It was a little more spacious and... More

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel DeFuniak on Christmas Eve 2013. We found the hotel’s history and character engaging, the parlor enticing, and the bed so comfortable I didn’t want to get up in the morning! We had arrived exhausted from highway driving on a chilly winter day and the parlor's warm fire was welcoming.... More
