Stayed right underneath a GD nightclub after asking for a quiet room away from the front. So they put me literally underneath the rooftop bar and wouldn’t move me. “It’s a nice corner room” they said as I checked in. Which to me means on the outside edge of the hotel. Not in the dead center with a furniture moving company above me nightly. Trying so hard to be hip. Just annoying.

We stayed for 7 nights in a one-bedroom suite. We liked the layout of the room, but the carpet desperately needs to be replaced. It had rips and was badly stained in numerous areas. Some windows were dirty, and the sofa had stains. We were hesitant to ask for a room change as we liked the layout of the room. On Friday night we had trouble sleeping due to music. We shared this with the front desk. We were thanked for bringing our concerns to their attention. We later learned that there was an after-wedding party at the Hi-Fi Rooftop Bar that evening. We suspect the noise was coming from there. On Saturday we realized that there was second wedding and again we shared our concerns about the noise with the front desk. This time the attendant offered to switch our room. We were glad that she asked if we wanted a room change but had no interest as it was around 5:00. Had no trouble sleeping that night so we did not complain when we learned there was a third wedding on Sunday evening. There was a cocktail party by the pool on Thursday evening and a shower at the Hi-Fi Rooftop Bar on Saturday, shower was held early afternoon, before the bar opened. All of these events take a little away from the quaintness of the hotel. At times it can be noisy in the lobby and the parking area can be crowded. We understand that the Fenway Hotel is an event venue. We will just need to take that into consideration when recommending the hotel to others and when planning our next trip to Dunedin. We also feel that the hotel could have done more for us when they learned we had trouble sleeping on Friday night. We were disappointed with the pool area. There is a huge white tent at the end of the pool, used for events, that limits the space for lounge chairs. Waited an hour under the tent one day for a lounge chair. The pool area was not monitored. Trash from guests' food boxes and used towels were not collected. Had to request towels from the front desk twice as there were none. Now for the good. Location is perfect, short walk to town and TD Park to watch a baseball game. The history of the hotel is very interesting. Enjoyed reading about it. Each room is equipped with Alexa, very convenient. We ate breakfast at the hotel twice. Emily was our waitress both times. She is an exceptional waitress, friendly, helpful, and full of energy. Also ate at the lobby bar twice. Burgers were tasty. Housekeeping was fine. We will be returning to Dunedin. Just not sure if we will be staying at The Fenway Hotel. …

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5-night stay at the Fenway. We were traveling with our teenage son. The location was perfect - a short walk to the Blue Jays spring training facility and just slightly longer walk to downtown. The 2Q room was small but the beds were comfy and we slept well. We didn’t spend much time in the room, but enjoyed the view of the waterway when we were there. The view from the HiFi lounge was amazing! We enjoyed brunch followed by quiet mornings by the pool on the weekend. We hope to be back for spring training next year!

Our 8 night stay started with a hiccup, as there was a maintenance issue in the bathroom as we arrived. The busy staff addressed the problem promptly. The hotel was filled, and a move was not possible until the next day, which was accomplished with an upgrade. This was our fourth stay at this lovely, well-located property. perfect for leisure visits. Active on weekends, with weddings and parties, and more sedate during the week. In both cases, recommended.

Small and dark rooms, friendly team members, good location with no amenities. Not too bad for a business trip better options around with similar price points. My room was next to house keeping service room, 6:30 am in the morning they start getting ready, building up their carts etc. which was noisy and i did waked up to their voice.

My wife and I visited for a week for a long overdue vacation. Savannah and her team (Johnny, Dessieraye, Sheyla) made our week one of the best hotel experiences I have had in a long time. Was given a great room overlooking the pool with lots of space. Breakfast every morning was terrific, with large portions to eat. Had food and drinks at the rooftop restaurant, which was great. Experienced the nightly music performer on at least 4 nights, and the performers were great. Can't say enough good things about Front Desk team, who make you feel special every minute of your stay. Can't wait to come back another time!

On a combination business trip and belated anniversary getaway...went to the Fenway as our initial night on the west coast of florida. From a gorgeous sunset experience on the roof deck to excellent ( but a good deal to loud for my taste) musical experience in the lounge...it was a great evening We only ate appetizers, but service and food was wonderful The roof was a king suite, very nice and modern, smaller in size but expected from the Era of the property

The Fenway is a lovely, historic place to stay in Dunedin that really carries their musical and speakeasy themes through at all turns! The rooms are a bit small by current standards, but comfortable, and with nice amenities such as an impressive mini-bar (overpriced as always) and nice in-room Illy coffee makers (free). The AC system, at least in our room, was a bit noisy, and had a rhythmic noise that never ceased (no doubt NOT an intentional part of the musical theme). We did not get to use the pool due to weather during our visit. The rooftop bar is certainly a highlight, and there is live music in the lobby bar (jazz of course, which I prefer!). The hotel was jumping with both a wedding and the party celebrating the Dunedin Film Festival during our visit. I do want to "note" that this hotel is quite expensive at nearly $400 per night, and I was really annoyed at the overnight parking charge of $18 per night (info buried in the hotel website), on top of the endless valet tips. Should be one or the other, or there should be a self-park option. As nice is Dunedin is, there should hardly be an overnight parking charge! I would probably look at other hotels in the area before returning here, but in fairness must say that overall we did enjoy the stay and the general feel of the hotel.…

I love that you were able to fully enjoy the Charm and history of the Grand Lady of Dunedin through our jazz music, HiFi rooftop bar, and hotel décor! I wanted to address your concerns regarding the overnight parking fee and hotel pricing for the stay. We as a boutique hotel, we lack the space to allow self-parking. Our codicil with the City of Dunedin is to actively manage the parking to lessen its impact on the historic neighborhood in which we’re located. While we acknowledge we’re expensive, we are competitively priced in the St. Pete/Clearwater area with other upscale hotels. We are so grateful to have this demand but also realize that the rates do fluctuate. We do have a reservations team who are happy to help our guests find the best dates, days, and patterns, depending on their budget. The Fenway Hotel and Marriott have a standard of excellence that we strive for daily and appreciate you taking time to write about your experience. We stayed here over Christmas with our daughter and family .. Dunedin is great , a quiet , upmarket suburb of Clearwater .. the Fenway draws upon its musical roots and had live music in the lobby lounge every night we were there .. the rooftop lounge is fabulous at sunset , the HUW Chophouse is a great onsite restaurant and the staff were all professional and courteous.. our rooms were clean , well appointed and spacious .. As a premium Marriott member we should have been upgraded on at least one of the rooms , as both had a dull car park view , but we didn’t complain or really mind as we stay away a lot and it was only 4 days out of our lives .. the position is great .. valet parking , Dunedin is walkable and a great little town .. we really liked it and would go back ..

Checked in for 3 days on 12/27 Asked for a quiet room. I guess the front desk wasn't fasmiliar with the rooms. # 276 and all the rooms on that corridor are above the HVAC equipment outside and is very noisy, plus in the bath room there is an access panel in the ceiling and that was rattling. When I told the the front dessk the response was sorry will have to look into it. Also on first night my wife asked if she could get a blanket, response was we are out of blankets! I'm sorry also because as I visit Dunedin several times a year will seek other hotels. Had dinner with another guest and he was 2 rooms up from me and had the same problem.
