We have been going there for years but missed the past three because of Covid...many upgrades since we were there last. Jesse and Anna are awesome. Room was super clean, the room had recently been painted and everything seems fresh and new. I do agree with the dairyboys review that you can hear people in the next room but it's a small price to pay for the view.
We had a thoroughly enjoyable 2 night's stay in a cottage. It was the main cottage (?) the one that sits by itself on the little hill. Spectacular views of the bay. The lady at check-in was just as sweet as could be. (We did however ask her to change payment from one card to another, and it was no problem. Only to discover on check out that the payment was put through on the card we didn't want it on.) The bathroom needs blinds on the window in the shower. I know the window is glazed, but still, it is uncomfortable. Also, the shower needs a grab bar. It's just silly not to have one installed. And while the kitchen is well stocked with plenty of pots and pans, you need more plates, cups, glasses, bowls, and utensils. Simply not near enough of those items. The washer and dryer (free to use!!) were an absolute godsend. A wonderful place to stay and relax.…
Small (10 rooms) inn, recently upgraded. Small but cute room, no air conditioning. Could hear every word spoken in next room. Very pleasant management. Good value for the price and a nice restaurant a short walk down the road.
We enjoyed our stay at the Cottage on the Hill- we would've like to know that the cottage in on the side of the street. Also, the charge on my credit card wasn't the same as the one that I had through my reservation with booking.com- it was 50$ higher. They told me what was on my receipt wasn't what would be charged on my visa but it was. Just be certain to check what you pay for before you accept the charges.
Travelling with a visiting friend I took my two young daughters and we stayed at the water front cottage room a. The location is incredible beachfront access no stairs. Really enjoyed watching seals from our deck. The cottage is well appointed with everything you need to accommodate your stay. Staff were incredibly friendly and very helpful. At my daughter locked us out of the bathroom and they were there within 10 minutes to solve the problem. Also there was a significant storm coming to the area on our last day of intended stay. We were able to cancel without being charged for that last day. If you’re going to Campobello great place to stay.
This was a great spot on our tour of the Fundy islands - the room's are very nicely updated/renovated, very clean, and the staff were very friendly. We stayed in two of the hotel rooms. A nice touch is the fridge and microwave - I'd say the only thing missing was a kettle. The beach across the street is an excellent place to watch the sunset. My only complaint is that the walls between the rooms are paper thin - I could literally hear everything my neighbours were saying. Other than that I would definitely recommend this place.
Amazing staff. Cozy room. Loved having access to the bbq to cook dinner, though we did bring everything we didn't, the staff offered utensils, plates etc as well. There is a very nice restaurant a 1 minute walk down the street as well. I would stay here again and recommend to any one in the area
Stayed here for one night. Very nice room. Very cozy and clean. The room was also much more modern than I was expecting. Also loved that we had a kitchenette. AC worked great and the bed was comfortable. Great view of the water, and the staff was very friendly. Good location as well, not far from the ferry. Would definitely stay here again.
There aren't may options to stay on Campobello and this is the first you drive by on the island I think. It's definitely dated but most motels you see look the same and it does the job. The ladies running the place work hard in keeping it clean and it offers killer views. The only thing I wish was the bed was less noisy and the walls weren't so thin but all in all it was a pleasant stay.
Pros: Great location for sunset - we saw an outstanding one the night we were there. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. Reasonable pricing. Very clean. Economical way to stay on the island and have easy access to everything. Cons: The cottages (two) are set apart and I am sure are different, but we stayed in one of 10 rooms that are in a long line as a motel. We had an end unit so only had one shared wall but it was so thin that we could heard just about everything the family next to use was doing - all at 6 am.
