Dear 19Chriss59: Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We're sorry to hear you had difficulty with hot water for your tea: I hope one of our kitchen or front desk staff was able to help you by providing you with "fresher" hot water when asked, as we certainly have that ability. We have let the staff know to...

The location, amenities and helpful staff are outdone only by the fabulous breakfast offerings and scrupulous cleaning. If you select the cottage, you have a guaranteed view of the sunset and all the ingredients for a memorable stay.

You can feel it's a family run establishment, and we've never stayed in a B&B before, but somehow this has much more of a Motel 6 feel to it than an old Floridian B&B. Antiseptically clean, kind of a sterile feel to the place, except for the front desk area. Not sure what they are charging for, except that there...

Dear GypsyTraveller94: Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We're sorry you seem disappointed about some aspects of your visit to Everglades City, which is definitely a tiny hamlet known best as a commercial fishing town (best Stone Crabs in the world!) and Everglades destination. It's certainly not a cosmopolitan place, but we do take pride in being very...

The experience of the House, its staff, the village was one of returning home to a bit sleepy and relaxed home village. It is impossible to get stresset here. The surroundings and nature is fabulous and top 5 class of the world. Do the kajak if you go there! Let no more air boats disturb our nature.

Dear Torben V: Thank you for your kind words: we are indeed very fortunate to be located in the Everglades, which is surely one of the most beautiful places on planet Earth! Like you, we also love the peace and tranquility of this place, and especially love the local kayaking - it's amazing! Thanks again for sharing your thoughts: we...

This hotel is wery well kept. Rooms are tidy and spacious. There is a covered but not completely swimmingpool just outside the rooms. The atmosphere is very relaxing. Breakfast was complete and good. There was fruit, sausages, bread and beverages. Hot tea and coffee were free during all day long. I also saw a laudry and other amenities. Maybe it...

Dear Silviaround: Thank you for sharing your thoughts: we do appreciate when our guests are pleased with the Ivey House! We're glad you enjoyed your stay here. Yes, Everglades City is an expensive place to live, eat or visit, but that seems to be the case in almost every remote location near some spectacular destination (like the Everglades!) Nonetheless, we're...

We have been in Ivey House for just one night. The rooms are very clean and big, ours had two queen size beds. In the structure there is also a roofless pool. Breakfast is ok, with a good variety of food. The structure also offers free parking and free WiFi connection. Definitively it was a good hotel, with just two...

Dear AleTrippin: Thank you for taking time to tell others of our beautiful and charming Inn, and also for letting folks know that we are indeed located in a small town whose biggest asset is the wealth of outdoor activities available here in the Western Everglades, whether it's kayaking, hiking, fishing, bird watching or any of the other cool things...

Echoing the comments of others (nice to see so much consistency!), the Ivey House is an excellent base from which to visit the surrounding Everglades, Big Cypress, and extreme southwest Florida coast. This is the best maintained property in Everglades City, which is overall kind of run down. My son and husband enjoyed the kayaking experience. I walked around the city and visited the parks center where they offer boat tours of the Everglades. If we came back to the Everglades we would probably stay at the Ivey House.

Our first trip to the Everglades brought us to the Ivey house. They offer a great package for rooms and excursions into the glades. The room was very clean and roomy.
