Welcome to the most comfortable Bed and Breakfast with a Spa in Everglades City! Let me introduce myself, as I am the proprietor and Hotel host, Patty Bowen. I am pleased to announce the opening of my very plush and historical Bed and Breakfast! This has been a dream of mine for many years. So, finally finding the Historical Bank, located in the center of town, makes this much more special in every way. My daughter, Taylor, will be heading up the Spa department. Please check The Spa page for updates and specials, as we will have honeymoon facials and massages! With a lifetime of experience, I am excited to show all our guests a lovely stay with carefully chosen Victorian furniture in the rooms and a warm breakfast to look forward to every morning! Of course, all of our rooms have A/C, flat-screen TVs, as well as WiFi. We are happy to share the highlights of activities in our unique city surrounded by the world famous Everglades ecosystem of the 10,000 Islands and just footsteps away from the Historical Rod & Gun Club
Bed & Breakfast with no Breakfast, no Spa & No Customer Service.
We were due to arrive between 16:00 & 18:00, we arrived around 17:30 and as we approached the front door the lady saw us with cases and then walked away saying nothing. Once...More
Nothing has changed since the poor reviews from 2014, which we sadly didn't read. No welcome staff, room wasn't ready, cash upfront, no wifi, no breakfast (the awesome bank vault door with the 'breakfast room' sign opens up to a tiny storage room that looks...More
We were disappointed by our visit because this place could really be special. Our room, and the rest of the interior, was charming, clean, quiet, and comfortable. However, the entrance by way of the back door into the paint peeling stairway is off putting and...More
The lodging is quite unique, and comfortable, and 20 steps up the stairs to a step back in time.I wonder as to the usage of this seemingly vast second level.Today there is no Bank, lawyer,or doctors in this "supposed" city.It is really a village on the Northern tip...More
What a beautiful building, my family & I stayed for 2 nights & loved every bit of our time there, we were greeted by Marylynn who took us to our very large room down stairs, it was very clean, it felt like we were back...More

There is no spa so I have no idea what they call a spa? The other reviewer who mentioned it was disparaging. The place is dark and dirty, the lower floor seems not remodeled at all. The plumbing is out of whack, with raw sewage from the upper floor bubbling up in the caretakers apartment.
I suspect a real spa might be found in Marco Island at the closest?
I have no idea about winter vs fall. Reviewers seem a bit more kindly disposed. What we had was a small bagel, a stale sweet roll tucked into the frig. A bruised apple. Period. For $145 nightly I would expect fresh sheets (ours in 4 rooms were damp and musty) and a cheerful dining room. There is nothing cheerful about this place, there is no service, food is laughable. Sad, very sad.
I wish I could offer more in the way of hope. Everglades City itself is interesting, historic and there is some real energy rebuilding this place. Sadly, the B&B is not among them.
