Yaya and I were married at Fairbanks under a romance package--four nights w/ meal vouchers. We relied on the owners (Theresa and Bill) who set Yaya up with hair, makeup and flower arrangements (bouquet and boutonniere) as well as ceremonial items (officiant, license, etc.) and cake, carriage, champagne, photography, meal, etc. The owners were very competent, attentive and knowledgeable--so much...

Marking a dear friend's "big birthday," our group of 8 women descended on the historic inn for a girlfriend's weekend. We literally made up half the occupancy! The location, just a few minutes walk to the historic center of Fernandina Beach, with its trendy shops and lovely restaurants, the inn is ideally located. We walked everywhere, including the marina for...

Fairbanks House remains the gold standard for bed and breakfast hospitality, or better said, it remains the gold standard for travel, period. The owners' attention to detail for guest comfort and their continuous property improvement makes Fairbanks House popular with return visitors. (During our stay, we met two couples that return every year.) This is the place to stay if...

My wife and I stayed for a long weekend. Within easy walk to downtown and the Shrimp Fest activities - never had to move the car. Very quite, great breakfast, and some really cold beer (for me) at social hour! Bill and Teresa are outstanding hosts. You can not go wrong staying here if you want to "do" historic downtown...

The owners, Bill and Theresa make you feel like you have known them forever. The room, "The Library" is absolutely beautiful. Clean, beautifully decorated and so comfortable. We also rented the upstairs suite for our family if 4. Again, comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. Each morning there is an exquisite breakfast, and each evening appetizers and wine for the guests....

On our first visit to Amelia Island several years ago we stayed for a week in the Schoolhouse Cottage at Fairbanks House. Theresa and Bill were such great hosts and introduced us to all that Fernandina Beach has to offer. We fell in love with FB and try to spend a month each year now in a condo over by...

My husband surprised me with this beautiful getaway for our Anniversary. It was an amazing weekend in a beautiful gorgeous home built in the 1800's!!!! This Island reminded me of Charleston and Hilton Head. We were pampered and treated like royalty and had our own little cottage out back which was so romantic! Every morning Theresa would have breakfast prepared...

How do you even try to describe perfect? From the moment we arrived on the grounds we couldn’t stop smiling at just how gorgeous everything was. We stayed three nights for our secret elopement! Theresa and Bill made it so easy that all we really had to do is show up; every little thing was taken care of for us....

We had a sublime experience at the Fairbanks House. The beautiful historic house has many spaces to relax quietly or gather with other guests. Our stay in one of the cottages was warm and inviting, comfortably set in quiet historic district in walking distance to all the best and varied activities in our first trip to Fernandina Beach. Our hosts...

My wife & I spent the last three nights of a 12 day Florida vacation here & saved the best for last. Bill & Theresa are terrific hosts. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts, great cookies, & very nice happy hour each day. The Inn is immaculate, quiet, & in a great location. Our room was very spacious with sitting area, kitchen,...
