Excellent location, great food and very friendly hosts. Just what you would expect from a bed and breakfast. We stayed for an anniversary weekend. Location was an easy walk to all the restrurants and shops.

We are so happy and pleased that you chose the Blue Heron Inn to celebrate your special day. Glad you enjoyed the close proximity to all the restaurants and shops. That's one of the major reasons we enjoy living downtown as well! Take care and hope to see you again in the near future!!

You are right in the heart of downtown. The food and happy hour were very good. And our hosts were great. Rooms are immaculately clean and the bed was comfortable. We highly recommend the wonderful place to stay.

We enjoyed the most relaxing stay at this most elegant inn. There is no detail left unattended. From the moment we walked in from the wrap around porch into the elegant foyer we were continually impressed with the inn. The home has been lovingly restored and decorated with outstanding antiques. The atmosphere is warm, quiet and inviting. We stayed in...

We had three days here at the Blue Heron and couldn't have been made more welcome by David and Julie, for whom nothing was too much trouble. We could tell was going to be a good stay from the moment we arrived when we were offered a chilled beer by our hosts and shown a delightfully comfortable room. Breakfast every...

Our stay at the Blue Heron Inn was truly a stay of a lifetime! The room we had (the Sandpiper) was spacious and eloquently decorated. In fact, the entire Blue Heron Inn was beautifully appointed. The Inn has been updated and was well-maintained. The wrap-around front porch was one of our favorite gathering spots to relax and enjoy the weather....

If you are feeling fire in your feet and hearing the call of the wild, then take a trip to Amelia Island and stay at The Blue Heron Inn. We did and had a great time. The inn is top shelf and the owners, David and Julie were great hosts. The downtown of St. Fernandina Beach was quite impressive with...

Spent the New Years Weekend at the lovely B&B in Historic Amelia Island and could not have been more satisfied. Our hosts were just that, hosts. That greeted us warmly and welcomed into their home. This is a definite recommend for any couple who want a nice get away. Location is perfect as its walking distance to a wide variety...

When you stay at a bed & breakfast, you expect a comfortable bed, a clean room and a good meal. However The Blue Heron Inn gives you much much more. It's all about the details here...the fresh flowers in your room, kindness of the innkeepers and the good china and silver for your breakfast on the wrap around porch. Check...

My wife and I have stayed at many B&B's—Blue Heron Inn is simply everything a B&B should be. Julie and David are ideal hosts. So accommodating, super friendly, relaxed yet busily making sure we were lacking nothing. The house was at full occupancy and Saturday was the annual "Cookie Tour" for which they had baked over 900 cookies! Yet with...

We appreciate you taking the time to write a review, especially this busy time of year! Yes, each time this year we host the B&B Cookie Tour for which a portion of the proceeds benefits a local charity. It's fun but as you said very demanding! We are glad you were able to enjoy all the fun downtown including all...

We have stayed in most of the inns in Fernadina, and although they are all very nice, Julie and David are the best innkeepers! They are so personable and make you feel like old friends. They are what makes our stay seem like we are "the only guests in the inn"! Breakfast is an elegant treat and so good that...
