We found out about this place through a Lonely Planet booklet. It was a little isolated but close to our final destination of Captiva Island. The room was clean and well appointed although a little dated. The grounds are beautiful and we saw manatees and dolphins in the surrounding waters. We ate at the Island Café but would not recommend...

We had no reservations & were driving along at the end of a long day of sight-seeing. We called & were pleased that they had a room, but even more pleased when we found that the site was so lovely. Shellpoint Village is beautifully landscaped with fountains, pretty buildings, and an air of quiet & calm. The only negative comment...

We stayed at Shell Point Guest House for 2 nights in November 2015 while our RV was being repaired. The room was clean and nice. We were able to attend a concert on one night we were there. We ate at 2 of the on-site restaurants and had good food. We also took the tour of the facility and are...

If you are visiting southwest Florida in the Fort Myers area consider a visit to the Guest House at Shell Point Retirement Community. This motel is open to the public and is very clean, a good place for the money and very quiet. Nice pool and nice cafe.

So convenient and comfortable! The guest house at Shell Point provides a great place to stay when we visit my mom who is a Shell Point resident. Clean rooms, great pool and affordable. There is a cafe on site, too. We like the proximity to Sanibel, Captiva, and Ding Darling as well.

This quaint, clean, safe, enjoyable, and reasonably priced motel is located within Shell Point Village, a retirement community probably not even a mile from the bridge to Sanibel Island. Most guests therefore have some family, friend, or business in SPV; however, don't overlook this great place to stay for any other reason as well. Accommodations are comfortable and in a...

Large senior neighborhood just prior to going over the bridge to Sanibel. This property has quiet rooms largely used by those in contemplating a purchase of a unit or those visiting those living here. Mother-in-law has been here 16+ years in a lovely independent living apartment and is now preparing to move to assisted living, so we had more "helpers"...

The Shell Point Guest House is very conveniently located just a short distance from the Sanibel Island causeway.Since the Guest House is inside the security checkpoint for this gated community, the location was very safe and secure. There is a Publix grocery just a short drive east on Summerlin Road. They had very good Key Lime pie. We bought a...

Found this place via a Google map search after a fruitless web search for a place to spend one reasonably-priced night in the Fort Myers area. Yes, it is located inside some sort of retirement community which is a little odd, but it is a completely acceptable place to stay; clean, quiet, and in a beautiful setting. We had a...
