We have owned at Windward Passage from 1982. We always enjoy our stay there. The staff is very nice and helpful with any questions you may have. We have seen them make improvements over the years. They are open to ideas to help improve things. The beach is awesome, is what I come to Florida for, sunsets, night time sky,...

And, we're looking forward to seeing you in 2016! Thank you for the very nice review. Windward Passage is at the north end of the Ft. Myers Beach island. If you like, you don't even have to drive while there. The "downtown" area is within walking distance and the beach in front of the resort is big enough for all....

Stayed in a beach front apartment overlong the white sandy beach. Amazing views, awesome sunsets. You have the choice of the beach, the pool or hot tub. There is BBQ facilities and an undercover dining/ play reading area. At the rear of the property there is a raised full sized tennis court too. The whole complex is kept spotless. What...

The resort isn't new or fancy, but the waterfront location is fantastic. We were close to Bowditch Park and to the town square, both within easy walking distance on the beach. Speaking of the beach, it's amazing. Powdered sugar sand, shells, birds, and warm water! Having gas barbecues and a full kitchen made meals much less expensive. The screened balcony...

What a great review! All of our mattresses were recently replaced with Sealy Posturepedic Plush from the Glennon Collection. VRI is our management company and Sealy is one of their preferred vendors. They do the research on vendors and we benefit. We were one of the first to install this new type of mattress. Our salt generated chlorine pool system...

I have vacationed here before and had a nice time. I trade as a timeshare owner. A few days before going I called and spoke with Jon and asked if a 2 BR was available that I could trade up to, he said no but that I was in unit 302 a 1 BR with an ocean view. Great. When...

I'm not sure how this review pertaining to an August "timeshare exchange" ended up in my space. We are the owner of unit 302 (and only unit 302) for an October week (and only an October week) so there could not be a change even if I theoretically wanted to make a change. The whole described scenario about being switched...

If you have children and don't mind well used beds and furniture, this is your place! After five days of a seven day vacation we gave in and went home. The best I gain give this tired old "resort" is that it was half a block from the marina where I kept the boat. Oh, and it is beachfront.

Hello Vacationer, Thank you for your review of our resort. We are sorry that your experience at our resort was less than wonderful. We are a legacy resort but do our best to continually update and improve the accommodations and property. Our many amenities such as shuffleboard, heated pool and spa, tennis and Pickelball (new) courts, and barbeque grill and...

I have been coming here every summer for 24 years with my family. The staff is always nice and helpful. You can't beat the location, the price. It is a family feel with kids in the pool and families at the bbq. The hotel is a bit dated with older kitchens and fixtures like closet doors and the decor but...

My family has stayed at Windward Passage several times. We always rent a one or two bedroom unit facing the beach. Each unit has a full kitchen with everything you need for a great vacation. You are right on the beach and also have a pool and hot tub located on a nice deck with chairs, tables, and umbrellas. There...

Stayed here for a week. The management couldn't have been any nicer. Our room overlooked the ocean and screened patio was a nice place to relax. We didn't use the pool, too many kids. Great location..only a mile walk down the beach to many restaurants. Beds need more padding, but were clean. We had a 2 bedroom was spacious and...

Thank you for your very nice review. We wish all of our units faced the Gulf of Mexico. However, our villa one bedroom units are more spacious than those directly facing the beach, and it's just a few steps further to the pool and beach. We look forward to seeing you again!

The website and pictures do not do this place justice, excellent location overlooking the gulf. All the rooms on the beach have a gulf view. I was on the second floor over the pool area and it was fine, no noise. The bedroom is on the other side of the building facing the parking lot. I was in a 1BR...

Made an RCI trade into this property. Stayed in Unit 1. Older section of the resort. One of the advantages of this unit was not being disturbed by pool noise. Very quiet. While it's not a glamorous or luxurious resort, it certainly met our needs. The resort very kindly moved us to a first floor unit because of mobility issues...
