This was our third stay at the Magnolia Plantation and our first stay at the Cinnamon Cottage, which is clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. These folks get everything right - comfy mattresses, soft towels, shampoo and soap that don't have a strong scent, dark window shades to block out the early morning light, plenty of hot water and water pressure....

Loved the fountains and the nighttime ambiance. Everything was very easy. The cottage was very comfortable. Felt like home. I loved all the small touches too. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others!

The Magnolia Plantation is wonderfully habit forming! If you stay once, you will want to go back again! This time we stayed in Cinnamon Cottage, which was perfect for my husband and me and my father. There are two bedrooms, each with a private bath, plus a living room and full kitchen (even a washer and dryer). I would describe...

The Magnolia Plantation was perfect. There were 4 of us on a road trip together and decided last minute to make a stop in Gainesville. I got on Trip Advisor and found great reviews for this place. It said online that they were booked but I called up and Cindy said she had a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom available at...

You can find everywhere pleasant places to stay in but hard to find the combination you find in Magnolia Plantation : Excellent taste in the cottages design and full attention to small details . The hosts Joe & Cindy are remarkable people :They want to give you an unforgettable experience. We are family of 4 and we stayed in Jessica's...

When you have had a great experience.... do it again, and again! My husband and I think of this wonderful getaway first everytime we need some R&R.... looking forward to getting back to during the holidays, which are enchanting with holiday lights, horse drawn carriages, a downtown within walking distance, and sleeping next to a warm fireplace. It doesn't get...

I have stayed at The Magnolia several times when I am in town for business. There is free wifi and plenty of space to work. Most cottages have kitchen tables or a large coffee table to spread out. This is a much better alternative than staying in a stuffy generic hotel room. I work long hours at locations throughout Gainesville...

I found myself with no room available at any local hotels for my last business trip and was recommended to try Magnolia Plantation bed and breakfast. The proprietors are wonderful, friendly people and the house was charming and clean and loaded with interesting stories and antiques. It was like staying in a life-sized dollhouse. The property is stunnning with a...

Warmth and friendliness abound from humans, Cindy and Joe and especially from charming collie "Abby". Loved the feeling of having friends in the "neighborhood" which Cindy and Joe quickly become. Abby treated my dog Cosmo, with playful romps through the beautiful grounds and tried to teach him to swim in the pond to no avail. Cottage was big enough for...
