We came up to Gainseville for business and stayed here...what a treat! The beautiful atmosphere, Pat (the owner), her wonderful breakfast, and Bryson...the cat....all added to the cozy environment. We loved it!!!

I keep returning to Camellia Rose because it has never been an even mediocre experience. It is super clean, quiet, comfortable, and elegant. Walking to the nearby park and restaurants is really nice. Pat and Tom do an amazing job. The breakfast and coffee always right on the mark. Brownies and afternoon tea too. So many good things about Camellia...

My wife and I stayed at the Camellia Rose Inn from Jan 20th to 27th, choosing a vacation rental without breakfast in the Hodges Suite. The suite is large with refinished historic hardwood floors in the front sitting room and bedroom. The suite has a large, fully equipped, eat-in kitchen with everything needed to make meals including a full size...

I highly recommend staying at the Camellia Rose Inn. The location is ideal (you can easily walk downtown and not have to worry about parking), the gorgeous Inn (lovingly tended to by Pat and Tom), the little extra touches, homemade brownies, wine and snacks in the late afternoon, the breakfast is awesome, very unique and delicious, the sheets were wonderful,...

The Camellia Rose is a gorgeous bed and breakfast that offers outstanding hospitality and a delicious breakfast. We were greeted by Sara upon arrival and were shown around the home. Wine and snacks are available each evening. Pat serves a gourmet breakfast in the morning, and the coffee is set out early if you want a cup before breakfast. Our...

We had a hard time choosing a B&B for our first trip to Gainesville but we lucked out and really enjoyed Camellia Rose. The room was pretty much exactly as pictured, and was gorgeous, romantic and larger than we'd expected. Staff were friendly but unobtrusive. It's more of a driving than walking location but very central to everything we wanted...

The Camellia Rose Inn is the best B&B we have visited in our 43 years of marriage. We were greeted by Pat, who could not have been more gracious. Our breakfast was superb. The Anticipation room was a dream! Fireplace, Bubble Tub for two, wonderful bed and steps away from the lovely porch overlooking the grounds. We are looking forward...

The Camellia was the perfect venue for our wedding anniversary (39th) and not just because of the quaint and tasteful elegance but especially thanks to Tom and Pat for their gracious and thoughtful caring. They exemplify all the best things we look for in a bed and breakfast. You will love the southern mansion beauty, location (near everything), the furnishings,...

We celebrated Christmas weekend at this Inn and it was perfect! Pat accommodated our vegan diet and even researched restaurants in the area for holiday dinners with good vegan options. The Inn is so close to downtown that we walked to most of the places. We hope to stay again at this great place.

Due to availability issues I stayed at both Sweetwater Branch Inn and Camellia Rose during a business trip to UFL. I wrote this just prior to check out. Both were very good. I rate both as four star sites because I travel frequently, all over the world and I don't give out five stars easily. Both locations were very similar,...
