If you are looking for a taste of "Old Florida" then the Seminole Inn will fit the bill. We did not stay at the hotel but went for their famous Sunday Brunch. The brunch is outstanding with homemade buttermilk biscuits and sausage gravy, homemade muffins, omlets cooked to order, roast beef, fried chicken, ham, bacon, fruits, sweet potato casserole, waffles,... I went here for a getaway weekend for my birthday. When booking the room I was trying to ensure that I would be able to have a room available before purchasing a Living Social coupon. The person who answered the phone was so helpful, she booked my room (coincidentally the same room my grandmother had stayed in just a few... More

This place is awesome. If you are looking for Old Florida, you found it. Room was really clean and comfortable. Their garden area and pool area are beautiful. You absolutely have to stay for the Sunday brunch. Fruit, cheeses, fried chicken to dye for, Omlette station, too much to list. A slice of old Florida heaven.

This historic hotel was built in 1925 by railroad developer and the Duchess of Windsor was here. Our room was large, clean, well furnished, cool and quiet. The pool was a quiet retreat through the gardens behind the hotel. Meals available are lunch most days, dinner on Saturday, and a Sunday brunch. There is a spa on the premises. The... More

We arrived and checked in to our room. When we got there the room had a very musty smell and on further inspection the walls were paneled in old 70's style paneling which had been painted over but that had obvious water damage. This room probably should have been taken out of commission for repairs. As it was only a... More

Rather than take the Interstate to Miami, we leisurely traveled the two-lane highways. A one night stay at the Seminole Inn, made this side trip a memorable experience. Built by a local visionary in 1926 in conjunction with railroad expansion, this hotel has a front porch with rockers, large entry rooms, parlors (with board games, chess, puzzles, etc.,) and comfy... Easter Sunday Brunch was advertised as $34 per person (children under 12 $17). Buffet on steroids we were told. Also boasted for the kids, bounce house, face painting and egg hunt. Buffet was average nothing special, cut of beef served was very chewy and a bit raw. Desserts were less than inviting, mini cup cakes like I might make at... More
