The hotel is nice, but if you want a place to rest and relax? this is not the place. First find out if there is any promotion party. They gave us a room next to a group of loud teenager girls who played the music at full volume, screaming and even their conversations were easily heard just as if they were inside our room. Following to our repeated complaints, the hotel switched our room. Much better, it is soundproof on the next door rooms, however not good with respect to noise form the room above. In the bew room you could hear the noise of steps of guess from the floor above, and even the noise by their toilet flush. We look forward to relax

We had a great stay at Hutchinson Shores. The hotel is beautiful and clean, staff is very friendly - housekeeping was prompt every day. The beach and pool was perfect for our kids (2 and 5). The food was great, and the kitchenette suite was convenient for our family. We will definitely be back!

This is a incredible place.great views, fantastic people and everything is on site. From check-in to check-out everything and everyone was right there with 5 star service. Some people may want a little more excitement but if you want to relax and enjoy the spa and beach and eat a super meal than this is it.

The resort was amazing... two pools, hot tub, beach access, friendly staff, clean and well-appointed room with a refrigerator drawer. Would love if one of the pools was 'adults only' but that's probably just a 'me' thing resulting from spending too much time with my own children! I do wish that they would just build in the resort fee to the room rate (and don't understand why properties don't do that) but was fully aware of what the charges would be and felt that the price, while slightly higher than other options in the area, was a good value. I was traveling with two picky eaters as well and found it odd that we didn't know a kids menu existed until the day before we left! Maybe that's on me for not asking the question! And, there are PLENTY of dining options in the area so I would recommend exploring the local spots.…

This has been one of my greatest finds. We travel often and I have written nearly 2800 reviews. This hotel has a cozy, boutique feel with attention to detail and service. The valet meets you immediately and you feel at home. The property is beautiful with a beachfront pool and sunset pool and the staff is very accommodating. Upon check-in you receive a band bracelet to enter the private beach. They have great food and offer beach food and beverage service with full time beach attendants at your service with towel, chair and umbrella service. The beach is breathtaking and they offer complementary beach chairs with umbrellas at an additional small charge. The resort fee offers complementary water, ( both in the room and a "stocked kitchen area" on each floor) bagged ice and warm cookies with fresh fruit. We found them to very affordable with attention to detail and service. We met the manager; Ed who was very friendly and welcoming. This is a must visit. First and foremost, staff is very friendly and accommodating. From the reception folks, to valet to food and bar servers ….everyone we encountered warmly greeted us and were helpful. We even heard other guests paying compliments to management. They all seemed to enjoy their jobs. The hotel was immaculate and well maintained also. Beds and pillow very comfortable. The decor is tasteful nautical and very sedate. Great place to chill out and enjoy the beach and ocean. There was nothing in our stay that was off. Would definitely return to this Opal property

I have experienced the excellence of this property twice now, and I enjoy my stay. The rooms are a bit average, but the convenience of so much on site and a beach outside your window is top-notch. The service was excellent. HOWEVER, please please please get an ATM! I figured by my second visit there would be one. What is wrong with management not understanding how essential this is -and how it will benefit its own staff, as well! There are probably several chambermaids or other staff who have not gotten the tip that a guest wanted to leave them because there was no access to cash. I find it highly insulting to your staff. And a major inconvenience to your guests. Hey you can make quite a bit of money from an ATM. Please step up! Because, like I always say, don't forget to tip your chambermaids (daily) - tips can literally make the difference in the quality of life for these hard-working folks!…

Love this place, so beautifully designed. Asked for an ocean view upgrade and it was so beautiful. At check I noticed a pamphlet about a Valentines Day Dinner as I was checking in, didn’t think anything about reservations as the restaurant was large. The next day I asked if I would need reservations and was told they were sold out. Before booking I checked on the website about any Valentines events and didn’t see any and was surprised that at checkin as I was looking at the pamphlet that nothing was mentioned. Another thing happened at checkin was not told of a happy hour that was going on I only found out about it because my husband and I went down for drinks. We ended up eating and having a couple of drinks but would have like to have been told what’s happening at the hotel. We ended up going to our favorite restaurants around town. The valet’s were excellent and never had to wait to long. Always very courteous with a smile on their face. Definitely look forward to staying agin!…

Stayed at this beautiful resort for a few days with my 2 small dogs and my BFF. The staff were wonderful and extremely inviting from the moment] we arrived. Our hotel room was ready when we arrived and the room looking out onto the beach did not disappoint. We dropped our luggage in our room and took our pups for a walk. We had lunch by the pool with wine. The following day we spent the day pool side drinking tropical cocktails and a light lunch. That afternoon we took a stroll on the beach with our pups. Our stay was wonderful and hope to return soon.

Great stay even though the weather was awful. We had planned a beach getaway with lots of time on the beach. Arrived at 2pm and were on beach by 3pm. After about 30 minutes, a wind came up and swept everyone off the beach within 10 minutes! !!! Oh well... we decided to shift plans i.e., make lemonade out of lemons. The best thing to do is make plans for indoor activities so after googling activities, we found the Elliot Museum. We had a room on the 4th floor overlooking the beach and pool area. Room was very well appointed and comfortable. We went to the spa for massages that were great!! The next morning we had an incredible buffet breakfast which opened at 7:30am til 11am.. The buffet had EVERYTHING you would want plus bagel toaster that is a bit out of the way so it can be overlooked. I read another review that talked about a 2nd swimming pool and we almost missed it also. It is near the restaurant. That pool has an entirely different vibe from the beachfront pool. It is bigger and has hot tubs and feels more like a party. Overall... we had a great stay and would definitely return.…
