First, all the staff members were great. The location on the water was exactly what we were looking for. From what I was reading the hotel is going through a make over from a Courtyard to Opel group so they are transitioning. If the friendly staff remains the same, I'm sure the hotel will be a lot better. As other reviews have mentioned. The $35 resort fee with the $4.20 tax on the fee to use the pool seems excessive. Many of the hotels in Florida include beach chairs and umbrella in the resort fee. That was an additional fee paid to a third party.

Hotel's Favourite
We recently stayed here and couldn’t have been more pleased. The hotel was spotless, the staff attended to every detail, the manager Mr. Patel and front desk staff were accommodating and went out of their way to make all parts of our stay enjoyable. Highly recommend staying here if in the area-you won’t be disappointed!

Pros: Great location. Nice beach. Clean hotel overall Cons: BED- the mattress was very old, had dips on each side which causes you to roll in middle of bed. Last 2 nights I slept on couch which was great. BATHROOM-small, the door was to large for the small space so you have to twist and turn to get in/out. HOTTUB: maintenance guy had to fix it each time u want to use it bc the water was a little cooler than room temperature. AC- room never cooled off. After 2nd day we called for maintenance to come fix, come to find out a tower blew and a few rooms was affected. ROOM: had to kill 3 bugs on our 1st night. BEACH- chairs/umbrellas are an additional fee with outside vendor who was not very professional. Gives the hotel a bad vibe. The hotel was noted smoke free but there was lots of other guest smoking cigarettes and other drugs on their balconies which caused the smell to come in our room so we could only have the slide door open only a few times to enjoy the Oceanview. CHECKOUT: waited almost 7mins while front desk chatted with a guest and never acknowledged me until another rep came and assisted me. Please make sure you read the fine print before booking.

Great rooms with comfortable bed. The bathroom has a glass door which lights up the room if you turn the light at night. We had a ocean front room but you have to ask for a balcony if you want one. Pool has misters and a handy bar for food. Ocean is right over the dune .

My husband and I booked this location when it was still a Marriott property. We were emailed to let us know that the property changed hands and that our reservation would be rolled over to The Lucie. We hoped for the best and our experience exceeded our expectations. After a long day of travel, we felt quite welcomed by Christina and Shawn at the front desk. There was a reservation glitch involving the computer switchover from Marriott to Opal but Christina got everything straightened out and even was able to honor a lower rate when she and the manager really didn't have to. Witnessing that kind of integrity really set the tone for the whole visit. That positive vibe stayed with us for our entire 9 night stay there. The housekeeping staff was friendly and accommodating and the ladies running the poolside Tiki bar were top notch. They got to know what we drank and had it ready for us almost before we asked for it. The whole hotel was fresh and clean with only a few updates still in progress. We loved walking next door to Kyle G's restaurant for dinner or their fantastic Happy Hour. It was also an easy walk across the street to The Magic Oyster Bar which has a very welcoming atmosphere. Drift Kitchen at an Opal sister property down the road was a short drive for a great dinner. We also went over the causeway to the town of Jensen Beach for some nice meals. Don't miss Jammin' Jensen every Thursday 6-9:30 for a mini street festival of music, artists, various venders, and entertainment. The Lucie was a great hotel for our annual Florida getaway. We've already booked for 2024!

Great hotel and beachfront view was amazing. Stephen the front desk personnel was so friendly and professional. The hotel room was plush with soft pillows and cleanliness was impeccable! For the price of the stay, it was well worth it.

We have stayed or gone to the Tiki Bar at the Lucie Resort for about 10 years since the Courtyard Marriott days. This Administration have restricted parking and changed the menu for the worst, no tuna salad or chicken wraps. The Tiki Bar is still great, but if you want to go there and are not a guest of the hotel, you can't park in their ample parking lot. Not good for business 😕

Location makes this place a win! Step right out onto beautiful beach. Not sure what the $35 a day resort fee is for though. You need to pay for chair and umbrella on beach from private vendor. I guess maybe the Wifi and parking? The pool was nice and Tiki Bar had good food and drinks.

If you're looking for a true Opal-quality hotel, stay down the road at Hutchinson Shores. This place hasn't yet transformed from its Courtyard origins, especially in the common areas (elevators, stairwells, etc.). Whatever you do, avoid a room (like 215) that connects to another, unless you want to hear everything going on next door. On the plus side, the rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated, and the staff is pleasant.
