We were a group of 10 ( 6 adults and 4 kids) - it was complete family vacation package. Enjoyed the stay. The spa was good, the swimming pools were nice. Beach was calm and refreshing. We rented a villa and it was very scenic and joyful.

If you're looking for a relaxing and comfortable ocean stay, don't go near this place. Room was filthy. On-site transportation was slow and inconvenient. Impossible to get any amenities for the rooms after 6 pm. Go stay at the Ritz.

Not updated or very clean. We stayed in pet friendly villa and had to leave early. Smelled like pee and bed sunk in the middle. Location is perfect but the room was so unformateble. Our family wouldn't even sit on the couch, must of been at least 20-25 years old. Decor was not be achy at all.

Surprisingly, this spot was wonderful and better than expected for the price...lovely private patio overlooking the pool with the beach right behind. On site restaurants serves better than usual resort fare... bed and pillows very comfortable and the property is well maintained and perfectly doggie friendly!

Stayed at the plantation dozens of times over many years, and have never been disappointed . They find ways each time to make my stay great. The grounds and immediate area are incredibly beautiful, with a variety of activities

this was a nice place to relax with kitchen facilities while attending a conference. Oceanfront view and balcony was a treat. Very comfortable with friendly staff. The suite of rooms with living, dining, kitchen and bedroom and bath were spacious and attractive.

Highly recommend the Omni Plantation, hotel or villas. We had an overall great experience. Fun shopping and very good restaurants with great service and food. The pools are beautiful and everyone loves the beach. Hotel staff was very helpful on booking and attentive during our stay. Will definitely keep it on our lists of places we want to go back... We stayed in the Shipwatch villas for 4 nights. The inside of the unit was fine but our "nature view" villa actually overlooked a parking lot that was busy with workers and dumpster collection early every morning. The Villas on the second floor are not accessible directly by elevator so you need to carry bags up 2 flights of stairs... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Villas of Amelia Island Plantation sprawl across 1,350 beautiful and isolated acres, along Florida's north eastern coastline, just across the St. Marys River in Georgia and adjacent to the historic city of Fernandina. The Villas overlook the blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean on the east and the Intracoastal Waterway on the west. Though private, secluded and protected by a gated entry, the location is a convenient 45 minute drive away from downtown Jacksonville and 29 miles from Jacksonville International Airport. Private and corporate aircraft charters can fly directly to Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport, which is only four miles north of the plantation. Each villa is unique and different. Units come in varying sizes and locations, including ocean view, resort view and tennis view single guest rooms, as well as one-, two- and three-bedroom units, ideal for larger parties, and feature fully equipped kitchens, dining areas, spacious living rooms, multiple baths and private bedrooms. Most complexes have at least one pool. Be sure to confirm the villa type, location and amenities available when booking. The villa accommodations are independently owned, but are located within proximity to the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort. ... more   less
