I had such a great stay at Parrot Key hotel! I’m so happy i trusted the great reviews and ignored the critical. This is more of a resort than a hotel: four pools including one adults-only is perfect. There is a beautiful sandy area overlooking the bay with hammocks and chairs. The shuttle is very convenient, and the concierge Mike was very helpful reserving a spot on one. Ashley at the front desk was so kind and thoughtful. I really liked the Smathers beach experience; again the shuttle was very convenient plus they give you chairs and towels when you get to the beach (saves $$). The room was tidy and comfortable. It’s a quick ride to downtown so only about $12 Uber ride. Bars were not crowded. If you’re looking for an off-season get away, i would highly recommend this resort.
Just stayed here with our extended family. The grounds are really lush and protected from the surrounding road, Walgreens, etc. mature landscaping, clean and spacious units, 3 swimming pools, it was just really nice. The restaurant was super convenient. I recommend the meal plan. It’s not gourmet food, but it’s good enough for sure and so easy with kids. The place has a relaxed vibe, the service is great - need to slow down to vacation time though - and the price was really really competitive.
FABULOUS. With 17 people, ages ranging from 10-75, we all had the best time! Beautiful accommodations, the food was 5 star and the staff gave us a first class experience the entire stay. Shout out to Jayson Powers who set the tone with executive level communication and really made us feel welcome. The grounds are landscaped in a way we have never seen, truly a tropical paradise. Super close to all the action, but once you are back at Parrot Key you feel like you are on an exclusive private island. What more can I say!? 5 stars all the way.! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We stayed at the Parrot Key in a 2 bedroom suite for one night, while we waited for our room to be ready on the other side of Key West the next day. Loved the tropical feel of the Parrot Key. The food was good, the drinks were good, beds were clean and everything was great! Only thing is that if you can't go up and down stairs, this property might not be for you. We had a 2 bed room suite in a 3 floor split level room. The top floor had one room, the second floor had another and a living room, and the first floor was just a entry way. We had to leave our suit cases at the bottom floor because I was not about lug it up 2 flights of stairs to my 3rd floor room. Great views and everything was clean!! Lovely lovely property.
When we booked the Parrot Key Hotel, it looked like a great place to stay albeit on the pricey side, at $1000 a night. Whilst the property is well taken care of, and the waterfront rooms acceptable, the service was non existent. You had to call the front desk to get someone to deliver new towels, and empty the trash, as the rooms were never cleaned! When I asked why the rooms weren't cleaned, they told me to read the terms and conditions of my agreement etc etc. I was really upset by this flippant response, as they clearly didn't care. We took 3 rooms on the Waterfront, which cost us $12,100 for 4 nights, and after the first day the floors were beginning to get sand everywhere, including in the beds. Our sheets were never changed and the nobody came to sweep the rooms, so by the time we left, everything was covered in sand, and it got everywhere. I normally stay at Marriott's but thought staying at The Parrot Key would make a nice change; it did not, and I won't be back. All is not what it seems.…
