My husband and I are from Miami and wanted a quick getaway for our anniversary....we landed at the Moorings and we did not regret our choice. The property was gorgeous and the staff was super friendly. I love that you have access to bikes to ride around - which we used to go off-site for dining. I loved that I...

My family DID NOT stay at this hotel but wished we did. It's right next door to Cheeca Lodge in which we stayed. I longingly looked at the Moorings which are right on the beach. It looked beautiful. Quiet. And the small houses/suites on the beach looked fabulous.

In some ways I don't want to say too many good things about The Moorings -We want to keep the place all to ourselves. From the moment you arrive until the moment you leave- it is just perfection. The location is just stunning- I made a point of getting up every morning and taking pics of the awe inspiring sunrises-...

We recently stayed three nights in the honeymoon suite at the Moorings. The property is gorgeously manicured, with plants, flowers and hundreds of palm trees lining the walking paths and beach. Our cottage was nestled in the palms but still offered a beautiful view of the water from our porch. We couldn't get over the peace and quiet of the...

Spectacular, peaceful property...beautiful and picturesque setting on the beach. What you'd hope to find, but never seem to be able to. Even though there's 18 cottages on property, there's plenty of breathing room on the beach and you can almost always find a lounge chair at the lovely pool. There's bikes, kayaks, paddle boards available too, and the staff is...

Thank you for sharing your review of The Moorings on TripAdvisor! We are so pleased you were able to unwind and relax in the peaceful setting found here. Thank you for the feedback regarding the bedding. I am surprised you were unimpressed with the linens and pillows as most of our guests ask for the specific brands we use so...

Beautifully landscaped - mature tropical trees, orchids, swaying palm trees on the beach. Peaceful and private. Plenty to do: kayaks and paddle boards on the beach; bikes on site; lovely pool; easy to rent a hobeycat and/or motor boat from area vendors.

We recently enjoyed a week at The Moorings staying in Lodge North. Our stay was excellent from start to finish. The property is very peaceful with a beautiful beach. The entire staff are extremely efficient and friendly. You could probably, if you so chose spend an entire stay without being disturbed once. There are bikes at the front office and...

We had a very enjoyable four day visit to the Moorings. The grounds are beautiful and impeccably maintained. The beach was also nice, particularly considering that few places on Islamorada have good beaches. The pool was large enough to accommodate all of the guests. We also loved using the tennis courts and generally enjoying the grounds. The location is very...

Thank you for sharing your experience at The Moorings on TripAdvisor. We are thrilled you enjoyed your time here. Islamorada is a popular destination because it is so much more quieter and relaxing than some of the larger, more populated Keys. Some may find our little town sleepy, however we agree with you that Islamorada and in particular, The Moorings...

The Moorings is a group of individual cottages on Islamorada. They are not the fanciest cottages but they are well equipped and definitely the best choice in Islamorada! The property is beautiful. You are really left to your own to enjoy the cottages and beautiful beachfront. There are tons of paddleboards available and the beach is gorgeous. Our kids loved...
