This was our first time at Sands of Islamorada. It's a small "old Florida" property. The couple that manage the property take a lot of pride in the well maintained property grounds and the cleanliness of the rooms. Very nice couple; very accommodating. They were very helpful getting our boat in and out of the slip. Would definitely stay there...

We spent 5 nights in the very comfortable room no. 14. The place is quiet and has everything you need and lots of space, a real home from home. Nice pool area and sun loungers overlooking the sea view - beautiful. Not many eating options within walking distance except for the superb Lazy Days, ate there 4 nights out of...

The people are friendly and helpful. The grounds are very clean and landscaped. The grounds are kept up everyday. My dog was welcome and that is one of the reasons we stayed here. Quiet. Would recommend. We are enjoying our stay

Great "old style Key resort" Clean and quiet. Next time we'll bring a dog with us. This place is in walking distance from restaurants and just few minutes drive to so many activities this Island has to offer

When booking this resort I was skeptical at first because of the size of the resort and it not having that vacation resort like look to it. When we pulled in we weren't sure we were at the right location since it's had a overhaul compared to photos (new paint, landscaping etc). We booked this particular place bc it was...

Prime spot to enjoy everything the keys have to offer. Short walk to multiple fishing, diving and snorkeling excursion companies. Apartment style rooms have a kitchen and full side fridge, stove and a small microwave. Got a boat? They offer slips and a ramp to drop in the water. A huge plus is the staff. They have been so friendly...

Stayed here about 2 weeks ago for a long weekend with 10 friends. We took up 5 of the 9 rooms, even though the other 4 were also being used the Sands still felt like our private getaway. Mercy was super nice and made sure we had everything we could possibly need. They apparently just renovated and the place looks...

Cute motel , nice location right on the beach. Our room was ok ,weird set up of the bathroom , the toilet is positioned so you are sitting under the sink while on the toilet. Shower need big improvement not enough pressure to wash your hair water drips from it .

Great place to stay for a easy going, young couple. There is an area to fish at night and chairs and hammocks to relax in. The facility is realativily small, but absolutely accommodates a couple of two. There are 2-3 restaurants near by that were great to eat at. Cool place to stop at for a night while traveling down...

An awesome, intimate escape right in the center of the Keys. All of our rooms have recently been refreshed from top to bottom. For a pet & people friendly tropical retreat...This is the spot. This is the kind of place Jimmy Buffett sings about. We are very Keysee and very clean! A sparkling pool and hot-tub with a view of the beach, boat launch and pier, await you. Our rooms and efficiencies can accomodate from 1 to 6 people very comfortably. ... more   less
