We recently stayed 12 nights, over the holidays, paid a few thousand dollars and couldn’t be more disappointed from checking until the day of check out. I am a Titanium Member having stayed at dozens of marriotts and I am not one to complain. However every.single.day we had an issue during our stay. They were obviously overbooked and understaffed but some things could have been handled better by the hotel. At checkin, not only did they tell us they never honor upgrades but the agent checking us in was nasty about it. Then I learned that despite all accounts that they had a car rental service onsite, we learned they did not. Instead the concierge (who was very nice!) reserved a car for us offsite but we had to pay for other transportation to go get it. Housekeeping missed cleaning our room at least twice during our stay and they had no explanation for how that happened. Nearly every day we did not receive the promised bottles of water in our room nor did we get coffee packets most days. The dry cleaning never came back on time and we had to track it down after every time we sent it out. Two times in our 12 days we had to call maintanence to fix the shower drain as it backed up with water. The shuttle schedules were not conducive to the parks at all, only running two times at best each day to each park. We spent more extra money in private transportation than I ever expected. One night the shuttle never showed up at all We waited almost two hours until midnight after a long day in the park and finally took a cab back. The front desk person was very nice about it and refunded our cab fare but said it’s a third party contract so there was nothing she could do about it. There were two large different sporting events. The basketball groups were fine but the lacrosse kids were completely out of control. Running around, playing lacrosse in the lobby and being very loud - all unsupervised and no security or hotel personnel in sight to take control. Ther were no adults that we saw and it was awful walking through the hoards of kids! We had a delivery of a charcuterie board which was supposed to go to the bell stand. According to the vendor, it went to the front desk which was fine but the front desk denied having it for at least an hour. The vendor had to send me pics of it and I had to argue with the front desk that it had been accepted and must be there…until they finally found it at the front desk after they insisted the front desk never accepts any deliveries. So disappointing and frustrating and not what I expected from a Marriott! While the “consider it done” button always elicited a response, the response was the same…we will be sure to pass this along.” No response from a manager - always just a generic response. Save your money - we won’t stay here again.

Amazing hotel. Pretty nice areas great water park, attentive front desk and very nice room with a balcony. Also the virtual zoo it’s a great kids activity. My only suggestion is that the water park slides should be open in the park hours. They intercalate the opening and some are closed several times. Need a better cleaning in the pool area for the rest it was great.

First 28 bucks to park, plus the tax, brought the bill to 30 bucks. Just to get in the door Tickets to the Christmas event we attended was reasonable, but having lunch in the Wreckers sport pub, was HORRIBLE. Crappy over cooked hamburger at 17 bucks a piece, wilted lettuce, tiny piece of tomato, bun hard and dried out. And it took forever to get our order. If it had not been so long I would have sent it back. I have had a better more moist and fresh burger at McDonalds, and less $$.

I rate this as one of the best resort experience we had. The amenities are so good that you don't feel the need to go out. We would have preferred staying here for days had we not bought the park tickets in advance. The customer service is top notch, eating options are great, for all ages. Pools, lazy river (crystal river) is comparable to any other top resort but this one is newer and cleaner. Highly recommend Gaylord Palms, this will be our go to place in Orlando from now on. If you want a true vacation experience which justifies the high cost then try it out, you won't be disappointed.

Overall a wonderful place with lots to do. Many restaurants to choose from with varying cuisines. Loved the water parks. Get there early to pick a spot. The best seats are all available for a fee. Including the daybed and Cabana. Fees were quite steep so we avoided it. Marketplace and coffee shops all sell Starbucks coffee. Not the best but had to make do since the coffee in the room was pathetic. Being away from it all and nothing at walking distance many folks either bring their own booze or get Uber eats for food. If you have a car that helps too but parking is again $40 per night. Uber rides are also pretty expensive given the peak season and distance to our chosen restaurants. We enjoyed our stay but next time will be more prepared as buying anything in the resort didn’t make sense.
