We stayed here and at Orbit One Vacation Villas, each for a week. Based on the reviews, I expected Oak Plantation to be the nice of the two. We were sorely disappointed. Our accommodation was in the back of the building and all of the...More

My husband, daughter and I booked for Universal Studios, and a representative at Orbitz had suggested this place. When we got there, the unit looked like it was cleaned a long time ago, and left there. The furniture like past reviews, is very outdated. We found...More
Was a little disappointed when I first walked in, as the apartment was a bit dated. But we had been travelling for a long time etc etc. After a day and getting into the groove (meaning all of catching up on sleep) realised it was...More
After reading some of the reviews on here I was a little apprehensive about what i had booked us into. No worries, it was super. We took notice of the 'no kettle' report and took our own £5 tesco one. The pool was tremendous with...More

I have no idea, but I would call the property and ask the question, but definately make sure you ask for an updated room, and then before you give them your credit card to book on site, go look at the room....

My boyfriend and I spent a week there in April. We did not have any bedbugs and it was not dirty or unsafe (we did have a few ants but in Florida it is quite common and we have been to Florida numerous times at other resorts and had ants there as well). I should have called to ensure they received my message as when we arrived, they had us elsewhere but when I asked if the room was close to the pool as we had requested, the front desk people were great in changing our room closer to the pool (we booked online from a different website than theirs). If you do find the room you were given unacceptable, please don't hesitate to ask for something different but also realize that this is not a 5 star resort.
Personally, since you are worried right now, I would call them and ask them where your room is and if it is one of the newly renovated rooms. You can explain to them your worries and would like to know if you are not satisfied with the given room if you can be switched easily. This will not only let them know what you want but it will reduce your worries as well (who wants to worry before going on holidays). Take time when you are there to sit by the pool and relax and listen to the beautiful peacocks! Have a great time!
PS--I do not have any ownership in this resort either. Some people seem to think a good review comes from people who own the rooms and want to have them rented out. I am a person who loves to vacation and find places that are different and lower cost (a vacation doesn't need to break the bank).
