Nice RV Park with many amenities including 2 pools, 2 hot tubs and 14 Pickleball courts. Many daily activities. Close to retail and The Villages. Lots of biking the Villages on the multiuse paths.

For the most part, it's a very nice park. Every park has it's issues. It appears that Donna S has posted many reviews for many place, rarely are they good. Some of the photos shown here are new, and some are more than 4 years old. You'll never find a perfect place that pleases everyone. Juge more on living/staying there and not on temporary issues, such as garbage, weeds, and out-of-service machines.

I called two different times so far. The reservation lady that I spoke to was rude the first call, and worse the second time I called. She did not feel the need to answer the questions that I asked, without questioning why I was asking that, or would not answer it in a way that I understood. What should have been very simple and pleasant, turned out to be condescending and confusing. We have relatives that have been wintering there, and wanted to spend next winter at the same park. I honestly don't want to call back, but we wanted to be close to our relatives. I received different answers to the same questions over the two calls, and was told, " I didn't ask that" on the previous call. We have been full timing for three years, and have never been treated like this when trying to give someone our business. I was also told I would have to drive to the campground to make a six month reservation, as they don't take them over the phone. I am not going to pull my fifth wheel across the country in the fall to just expect they will have an opening, without any reservation. Unfortunately the owners are not in the office, and have two Florida RV parks. I have no other way I am aware of to contact them directly. I can't believe I am the only person she has treated this way.…

Overwhelmed by biting ants. Speeding cars, small pool for over 1000 sites, rundown properties, no mowing,no dog poop receptacles, political banners, garbage area is a dump. Pickleball is good but courts are cracked. Owner has promised a second pool and 3 years later he states they are waiting for parts from China.

Special thanks to Carole and Shannon working the front desk. My wife and I were not pleased with a malfunctioning situation at the lot space when we first arrived. These ladies solved the problem for us very quickly making relocation possible. We had reserved a lot for our RV for 2 months, however our plans changed and we needed to extend another 2 months during this very busy season. This was a Christmas Miracle which took a lot of effort which we appreciated very much. It is nice to know the staff at Recreation Plantation RV Resort genuinely care and represent this establishment in a positive light.

Just under a month ago I signed a year's lease here. I explained that my tiny house is legally an RV. It is not home-made, it was built by a tiny house builder, it was inspected by Bildsworth International, it is registered with the DMV, and it is insured. They said that would be fine but kept asking for more and more documentation. Today was supposed to be my move-in date, but this morning I received an email simply stating that my RV qis "not what we are looking for". Unacceptable.

We enjoyed our stay here. We had a camp spot up front with a level paved back in area. Definitely better than the grassy area in the back we had last time. The pool was open 24 hours & when we went down for a soak in the hot tub every night at 10pm we were the only ones there. The pool is heated so we also enjoyed going for a swim. The campground is a block from the villages so great location. We will definitely be back.

Have been going there for 3 years now. Granted, there are areas that are full of trees, but you have to remember, there are 3 basic sections. The front (the oldest part with all the old trees), the back (newer, less large trees and more palm trees), and the new park that opened fall 2018. All slots are back in. In the transient section and the new park, the road is plenty wide to back in. If you're not in either of those sections, it could be a little narrow. BUT...this is because the entire park is designed for not only Coaches, 5th Wheels & Trailers, but it has a lot of 'park models' that are pretty much permanent. You can't walk the streets without people waving at you or chatting with you. SUCH friendliness ! And there's so MUCH to do. If you can't find something to do, then you're not looking....because it's there. And if you need help with a problem, you're not the only one. Others have had the same problem and people are always willing to help out. Grounds Keepers do their best to pick up branches, etc. Give 'em credit. It's a big park. Bulk trash is available for free. Great help when you need to get rid of something big, like an old recliner. They also do recycling of plastics, paper, aluminium, cardboard etc.. No direct access to The Villages by way of a golf cart...yet. Hopefully in the future there will be though. You must drive or bike your way. Staff is great, for the most part. But there's always going to be a "personality difference" but we all must be tolerant. Don't judge a 2,000+ slots park by one person. Judge the park on it's entirety. We went from transient to 6 & 6 after our first year so we always have the same slot to pull our 5th Wheel in. Looking forward to moving there permanently. Oh...and it includes free WiFi and free Cable TV…

Another review said it was well-maintained...not so. Over grown trees, grass needed mowing, uneven sites (wouldn't be possible to get level) etc. The paved roads are nice but again narrow. While we were backing onto our oh so skinny pad site, two cars and a golf cart came by and were in such a big hurry they drove into the grass to get around. Rude. BTW, total back up time less than 5 minutes. And it was clearly evident that we were backing into a site and there were other options for these drivers. No interest unless you go to the clubhouse or take a booster box and connect it to your RV which can't be done on some coaches or with cable connected. We stayed because we were visiting friends in The Villages and it was close. Would not stay on a return trip. The nightly rate is almost $60. The one positive thing they did give us the first night free... 3 nights almost $40 per night. Still high but doable.…
