We stayed for 31 nights at the Sandpiper Inn, Jan.1, 2016 until Feb. 1st, 2016. It is beautifully kept and there are lots of great birds Egret, Blue Heron and even an American Eagle which we got a picture of. It is right on the ocean. There is a pool and the most beautiful walk made of brick. The one...

We were recently there for 4 nights. Last minute travel so we were lucky they had an opening! I was pleasantly surprised when we drove up and walked down the garden path to the beach. Having an ocean pavilion and beach chairs on the ocean was a nice touch. Room was clean and fresh. Harold (Innkeeper) was friendly, informative and...

We recently spent 4 days in this charming spot. It is clean, well-appointed, comfortable and within walking distance of shops, restaurants and a beautiful park. And, the beach (complete with chairs and umbrellas) is just steps away. We especially appreciated the fact that the entire property is non-smoking....fresh air everywhere! The bed is extremely comfortable and both rooms have great...

We just - reluctantly - departed the Sandpiper Inn in Longboat Key after a heavenly two-plus week stay. We stayed in a different unit than we had in the past and loved it even more than before! There are new interior doors and the bathroom and walk in closet have been completely remodeled. The bathroom now has a walk-in shower...

We booked this place based on the reviews and so glad we did. It was the best anniversary we've had in our 13 years. Quiet, peaceful, clean, beautiful property on the Gulf. We thoroughly enjoyed the private beach and walks. Don't miss this inn!

After having flown in from Arizona to find that the airline had delayed my luggage an hour, I ran into a 10 mile traffic jam on I-75. I felt I couldn't wait to cozy up with the nice views of my "go to" childhood vacation spot. The place I normally come to had closed 15 minutes prior to my arrival...

Spent 4 days at the inn with 2 other families. The inn provided a great setting to relax and enjoy some family time. The rooms were recently renovated and comfortable. The 3 rooms we occupied (103,104 and 105)were very clean and well kept. The rms had a king bed in the rm, a queen sleeper sofa and full kitchen. The...

Thank you for your stay. We are glad you had a relaxing time at the Sandpiper Inn and our awesome beach. Normally the Gulf is quite calm with "tiny" waves, however whenever there is a storm, (like last week) the Gulf surf does act like The Atlantic Ocean. OK, to be honest I'm more of a Marriott type of traveler. This very small motel was a big disappointment to me. However, my husband enjoyed the charm of the small building built many years ago. The room was definitely very clean and somewhat updated including nice tile floors, an updated bathroom that was lovely, and a comfortable bed. It...

We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay at the Sandpiper Inn LBK, a totally renovated "old Florida" 11 unit one & two bedroom efficiencies, directly on the Gulf of Mexico. The Sandpiper Inn is on Longboat Key, a quieter island setting with minimal "activities" in the immediate area. Food, shopping, and people watching are very near, just a very short drive to St. Armand's Circle. The inn is older, but well maintained inside and out with absolutely beautiful grounds. The unit we had was very spacious for two people and...

There's nothing fancy about this place. But there is everything you need. Quiet, clean with everything in good repair and freshly painted. Steps to the beach which is well stocked with chairs and umbrellas. A walk away from a grocery store and 8 miles from st Armand's. I can't wait to go back
