We recently stayed at Trillium #2B with another couple and overall had a nice time. It's right on the beach and the view was gorgeous and the beach wasn't too crowded while we were there. It's a very nice beach to take walks on. Pros: The view was great and we saw many dolphins and pelicans. The sunsets were beautiful. The location is good, with Winn Dixie, CVS, bars & restaurants within walking distance one way and Johns Pass the other way. It's about a 15-20 min. walk to Winn Dixie and a 20-30 min. walk to Johns Pass. The condo was clean and the living room furniture comfortable. The dining table was big, with hightop chairs and a bench on one side. The balcony was nice and had 4 regular chairs, two lounge chairs and a small table. We found it to be quiet and were never bothered by noise from anyone above or below. The trolley stops right in front of the building, which is great, but it was very unreliable. We frequently waited 45 mins. or more. The pool was heated and was nice and warm. It never got too crowded. Cons: We were staying for a month so, naturally, we stocked up on some groceries. When we returned from the store with the groceries, there was not one inch of available space to put anything in the cupboards. Every single cupboard was filled with dishes, glasses, vases, etc. Even for someone staying a week you would expect they would probably be eating some meals there and would have groceries to put away. We had to take a bunch of dishes out and leave them sitting on the counter so that we had room. We ended up moving some things around in the closet which had cleaning supplies and beach chairs in it and we stored canned goods, cereal, chips, etc., in there. The bathtub off the master bedroom didn't drain well at all. After a few minutes in the shower, the water was up over your ankles. We called the office and they sent a maintenance guy to look at it. I figured it was plugged maybe with hair but he checked and said no and said there were two settings on the plug and we needed to have it higher in order to drain properly. After he left, we realized that we already had it set that way. It made no difference at all. It made the tub very slippery and I could see where an older person could easily fall. We put up with it like that until about 10 days before we were leaving and then one of us nearly fell so we called the office again. They sent another guy and he found that it was badly plugged with hair, like we had thought, and he unplugged it and it worked after that. People should know also that this tub is really high, above knee level on us, and it's very difficult to get in and out of. We are in our early 60s and in good shape so we could do it but I was careful to hang onto the grab bar when getting in and out. The shower in the guest bathroom also does not drain well. The maintenance guy said the floor isn't built right and makes water collect without draining. The water pressure in the shower was very weak. There were ants in a couple of the cupboards. We called and they sent someone who put ant traps around for us which did work after a couple days. I slept on both the king bed in the master bedroom and one of the two beds in the guest bedroom. The king bed was okay but the one in the guest bedroom was one of the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on. If you like an extra firm mattress, then you'll be fine, but it was like a rock. Both mattresses in the guest bedroom seemed to be the same. It felt like you were sleeping on the floor. The air conditioning never worked well. The first 2 weeks we were there it wasn't that hot so we had the windows open. But the third week it got really hot and very uncomfortable to try to sleep. The maintenance guy came and worked on it for quite a while and it did work better after that but still didn't keep it very cool. They told us not to turn it any lower than 72 degrees, which we never did, but it kept it more like 76 or 78. When you check out, the keys have to be returned to the office, which is about 4 or 5 miles away. It's really inconvenient if you have an early flight to catch because the office is the opposite direction from the airport. We asked when we checked in if there was any way they could make arrangements so that we didn't have to drive to the office with the keys and they said that most of the properties have a dropbox right on the premises but this building doesn't. The traffic was really heavy most of the time so depending on the day and time, it could take 20 mins. or more to drive the 4 or 5 miles to get there, which makes it hard when you have to get to the airport early in the morning. The pool had no shade whatsoever. It would have been nice to have some areas of shade or some umbrellas to use for shade. We would have loved to have had a grill for cookouts but they aren't allowed here.…
