Do your homework and read more reviews than I did, and save yourself money and a headache. We just got home from a stay in unit 316. First- this is an older property which in and of itself isn't a bad thing, but it is when the plumbing doesn't work or when you realize the pool is the size of a residential pool. I'm also very disappointed with Vacasa. This was my first and last time using them. The master toilet wouldn't flush without near overflowing and the outside sliding door handle was broken off so I spent about 6 hours trying to get the issues addressed by them on our first full day of vacation. Let's just say they never got addressed so my sister and I shared the one toilet the entire trip. The rugs were ratty, and the bathroom rug had a huge hole. The socket in the lamp in the living room was broken and held together with scotch tape. The lamp in the front bedroom had a hole in it. The shower curtain liner was grungy and the tub looked dirty. Also good to know- motorcycles are not allowed to park on property, there is no pool bathroom (ick), and guest parking spots are the ones in front that have numbers starting with 6. About the only thing about this condo that was good was the view of sunset. However, unless you like the sound of loud bar music while you're trying to take in that beautiful sunset from the balcony, you're going to be sorely disappointed. And that music is Every. Single. Day. Sun-Thurs the music stops at 9, though Fri and Sat it goes until 11pm. And I do mean LOUD bar music. One night we had to just go inside and turn on the television so we couldn't hear it. Seriously, don't waste your hard-earned vacation money here. We did the math and figured out we could have stayed at the Don Cesar for what we paid to stay here.

We are currently staying at Madeira Norte condo 313. I can’t speak for the entire place, but just on this condo. When we arrived we were to get a key out of a lock box and struggled to make this work. We were able to get a code and solve this issue quickly however. We got to our room and noted the following issues- we had no deck furniture, the deck was full of dirt as they are doing construction on our side of the building. All of the closets in our condo were full of tools, paint, just things that we would not be using. We were not able to use closets. The bathroom fan is super loud and annoying when using the restroom. As we settled in, the remote had no back on where the batteries are, the kitchen overhead fan was missing parts and terribly dirty. The furniture was all very dirty, all of it. The end table was to have glass on it, but it must be broke so a floor tile was set on it as replacement. The floors were so dirty that our feet were black as we walked around. The kicker of the entire stay was, we arrived back to our room from a walk and both of our patio doors to the deck were blocked with boards so they could not be opened! We had construction workers outside our patio. We shut the vertical blinds and several blinds were missing so you could still see in. We read reviews that indicated some of these issues, but the response was we have or will be fixing these issues. This was 10 months prior to our visit! Not sure what they fixed……. We are very unhappy with our stay and disappointed it was not made clearer how the construction would affect our stay. They offered to come in and clean/maintenance, but we’re already in the room and most of this maintenance should have occurred before our arrival. I would rethink staying in this condo. It appeared to be awesome online and the location is great. Just wished the place was of better condition. Very very disgusted and disappointed.

Currently staying at Madeira Norte 103. Checked into a dirty condo. Floors are FILTHY. On day 2 we sprung a leak. Water running down the walls and ceiling tiles fell in from all the water. Called the emergency line and was asked to go up to the second floor and see if they over flowed the tub. I did and they didn’t. So was told someone would come tomorrow and look at it. It’s day 5 and we still have a 5 gallon bucket in the middle of the floor with dripping water and fallen ceiling tiles.

A last minute planned trip worked out to be a Great Stay, it is a little on the expensive side but sometimes you just have to splurge! Our owners are very nice, the place was cleaned and ready for our arrival with no delays. There are plenty of dishes pots and pans a dish washer if you want to dine in with both a Publix and Winn Dixie only about a mile away, also a fresh fish market across the street! Speaking of across the street there are several great restaurants, our favorites were Bamboo Beach Bar and Thai Am #2 both serve great food and Bamboo Beach is a live band bar every night. The beach is just a short walk and you can walk to your hearts desire on a nice wide flat beach, or pick a few shells. Overall rating: Cost-fair, comfort-very good, amenities-good, view-fantastic! Only 2 important things when renting if you want a great view choose condos numbering from 09 to 16 they have the best sunset view and avoid 01 to 04 as those face the street with NO water view!

We stayed in #411 for 3 weeks and it was awesome! It has everything you need, and is very nice inside. The owners are wonderful... kind, helpful, accommodating, and highly responsive. The ocean view was fabulous! We sat on the balcony and watched the gorgeous sunsets every night. ❤️

My name is Jenny Garcia, I’m currently staying at Madeira Norte 411. Where do I begin.. okay the day of Checking we were able to get in the condo around 7:30 because we couldn’t find the 411 box. After several calls to the emergency line finally they picked up and told me they were sorry but if was not labeled 411 it had a Viking sticker... REALLY okay whatever it happens. We get in and as soon as we walked in it felt we were walking in pure sand but we are at the beach it may just be from our shoes. We started looking for parking slips not enough so we had to go to the office in the morning to get parking slips. Time for bed the pull out bed sheets where not changed they were DIRTY. I was already getting mad because we are getting charged a nice fee for cleaning and this place is feeling nasty to me. Middle of the night I get up to go to the bathroom and wow I had to clean my feet because there was sand all over the floor. I check in Sunday and Monday morning when I woke up I decided to sweep the floor and what can I say It was filthy. I had to go to Walmart to buy a mop, Clorox and other cleaning supplies because I couldn’t spend a week in this place with 2 toddlers in this nasty place. Doors where sticky, candy wrappers under the beds. Living room literally sand and hay under the rug it looks like whoever is cleaning WHEN THEY CLEAN they sweep it under the rug. The recliner chair wit NASTY the fabric is brown black that’s how bad it is. I’m sorry but I had to spend my 1st day of vacation cleaning and sanitizing this place. Photos attached.

I booked a 2 week stay at Madeira Norte through SunHost for dates of 3/21-4/4,2020 and decided to cancel because of Cornovirus and company would not offer refund. As a nation in crisis now we are to limit travel, stay home, not be in crowds, all nonessential businesses closing and they don’t see the rational of why I’m canceling. Pretty poor on their part and not a reputable company that I want to deal with!

Beautiful views of the Gulf of Mexico or John's Pass Village. Spacious, well decorated condos. Very friendly staff. Heated pool is a bonus. So many great shops and restaurants in walking distance. This was our second stay in two different units and had a great experience both times.

Loved that everything was within walking distance. Having a washing and dryer is probably my favorite thing. It was an older condo that could use a little updating. But, for the most part it was exactly what I was looking for.

We are a retired couple who stayed in unit 513 a few years ago and it was a lovely experience. The unit is now under new ownership and the owner obviously doesn't care about the unit, only the profits made by renting, it appears. Upon our arrival during a recent stay, we discovered many things that needed replacing or repairing. The balcony furniture had one chair and a small bench, yet the condo is supposed to accomodate six guests. The chair leg was taped together and was quite dangerous. After several days the management company replaced the broken furniture with new chairs which was appreciated. The stove hood was filthy and the light was hanging out of the socket literally and neither were working. It was never repaired. At least two electrical outlets were not working. The sliding door between the two bathrooms has been screwed together, rather than being fixed. The bath tub is old and chipped and needs replacing. The medicine cabinets were so rusty and disgusting that we wouldn't put our belongings in them. The kitchen dishes were all covered in a cloudy white substance and I had to soak them in a vinegar solution to clean them. Pots and pans were minimal and no frying pans available so I bought my own. Kitchen utensils sadly lacking. A broken ironing board was left opened and lying in the bedroom closet. To my mind housekeeping should have reported it to the management company. It was replaced when we reported it, but we shouldn't have had to do that. Two small area carpets in kitchen were filthy. No proper mops or brooms available to keep the unit clean during our stay so again I had to buy my own. The unit in general needs painting and a good cleaning. Aside from our disappointment, what is most disturbing is that someone we know had the unit rented from July 27 through August 10th with flights booked, travel plans in place and the final deposit paid. Less than two weeks before departure the management company informed them that the owner wanted the unit for the first week. While an alternative place was offered in the same building, it was not what was agreed to in January when the unit was booked. So our friends went elsewhere. While I don't hold Sun Host, the management company, responsible, I do suggest they break ties with this owner. We have rented at Madeira Norte for over 40 years and from Sun Host for about 15 of those years and have never been disappointed, until now. Bottom line, we would recommend NOT dealing with this owner.
