No hot water during our stay. The shower was very cold. We read this issue had been updated but was not the case in our room. The coffee mugs had not been cleaned. Was a very cute place and within walking distance to great food and beach access. Front desk was very helpful and polite.

My family has stayed here in the past which it was fine, but they have upgraded inside and out. My friend and I went down to fort myers to help with the cleanup after hurricane Ian and this was the closest hotel we could find after a long hard day. The gentleman at the desk was so kind, he stayed late to wait for us to check in. It is beautiful and comfortable. The rooms have all been updated beautifully, the pool area is gorgeous. I can't say enough. I am looking forward to taking my family here this winter.

I did not read any reviews until after booking the room for my wife's birthday weekend. I was very skeptical when driving over but I have to admit it was just fine! The room was clean, bed was made with fresh linens, the first thing I checked was the shower situation, which I had heard so many bad things about.....It was fine!! hot water, plenty of pressure, and the shower was clean, Did my wife and I get lucky?? Maybe, but we have no complaints about the room. The rules ARE strictly enforced and for good reason. The parking is scarce, but they do the best they can with the limited area the city gave them. and with that being said, there are no visitors allowed. At first it seemed a little harsh but, If with the parking what it is, if visitors were allowed, there would be NO parking for the paying guest. The pool is not huge, there again doing the best with the area given, and again, if visitors were allowed and they have kids, the pool would be packed and unusable for the paying guest. All in all, we had a pleasant stay, the people in the room next to us were there celebrating his wife's birthday as well, so it worked out well. The only thing I was a little disgruntled with was the that I had no idea about the deposit and the that it was taken without me being informed first. When I called about it and asked why an extra $75.00 was taken, the owner almost got offensive about it. I explained to her that I completely understood that a deposit was needed and I was fine with it and she kept telling me (we did our job!) and I told her again that it was fine, we were not going to smoke in the room or leave it trashed. As far as I can tell, my deposit was returned. The way the deposit and payment for the room is done, it's a little confusing, they were both taken out, the returned back to my account, then payment for the room taken out again,,,,so as far as I can tell, my deposit has been returned and we had a very pleasant visit.

They will not refund my deposit for my vacation booked before the border closing. They just continued to say here is a voucher and then when I explained to them that I can not cross the border due to not being vaccinated they said they will not extend the voucher or refund my money. Now out 630 dollars USD. Be careful with this place.,

The place is not as advertised. When i ask to talk to get a number for booking.com to complain, the young man (Indian accent) gave a wrong number to me. When i called that number thinking i was talking to a representative at Booking.com i got scammed $700. It would have been more if i did not get to my senses on time. I will not recommend booking.com nor Holiday Isles to anyone. My rating would be zero and such rating existed in the list

This place is disgusting! Before I even got to the door this wave of air freshener hit me, apparently coming out of a plug in air freshener. There are layers of dust where the room has not been thoroughly cleaned. There's hair everywhere! I walked in the door and was greeted by a roach motel gracing out from beneath the dresser. There is still food stuck in the microwave and the refrigerator and freezer are disgusting. There's mold on the shower curtain and what looks like dried blood on the outside curtain. The bad part is we came down here because we're having a memorial for a death in the family and apparently this is our living situation for the next two days. Also, if you have more than 4 guests staying in a room, including children they're not allowed to come into the room..Oh and guess what? No refunds!!!!! If you value your health and your family do not stay here!

Horrible experience! Management is awful, there are bed bugs everywhere and they overcharge you! Definitely not the place to stay! The housekeeping and Michael (maintenance man) are their only redeeming qualities! Kept our security deposit too, not to mention they threatened to call the cops on us and we didn't even do anything!

Having read previous reviews, my hopes weren’t high and I had a sense of impending doom. This is not a luxury hotel, but it is clear that the owner and management are working hard to improve it. To say the least, I was pleasantly surprised! The location is great and is within walking distance of several restaurants and eateries. John’s Pass is about a 30-minute walk but is doable. It is not beachfront but you can easily walk to the beach within 5 minutes. The pool and common areas were very clean and well taken care of. The rooms are being updated and ours had new paint and flooring. I must say that the hotel’s management has strict policies regarding visitors and a surveillance system which rivals the FBI. However, this provided a sense of security. Let’s are welcome and this is an added bonus as well. Overall, this hotel surprised me and overdelivered based on what I read in previous posts.

We had to cut our trip short due to dirty room, extreme mildew and bugs in bathroom, dirty shower curtain, tiles in bathroom painted but peeling, kitchen utensil drawer filthy, no eating utensils, stove burners looked like they were never cleaned, Pool chemicals too strong and mildew around pool and pool tables and chairs mildewed. Reservations were for handicap first floor but upon arrival they requested additional $100 per night to move. Curtains had holes and would not close all the way in order to prevent privacy.
