Madeira Bay resort is in a great location; across the street from the beach and close enough to walk to Johns Pass. We stayed in room 610, it was extremely clean and fully stocked kitchen so we could make food when we didn’t want to eat out. We will definitely stay here again!

My husband and I stayed in condo 610 for 5 days/nights and absolutely loved our time. The condo was extremely clean and well-stocked for our needs. The front-desk and cleaning staff were extremely friendly and accommodating (holding our luggage and helping us get in for an early check-in when we arrived, etc.). The view from this condo is beautiful with a nice balcony where you can watch the sunset over the beach each evening and the waves/dolphins with your coffee each morning. It’s a quick walk across the street with direct beach access, as well as a short walk to John’s Pass boardwalk!

Convenient location to beach. Great views of marina. Enjoyed drinking coffee in the am while looking at views of marina . We stayed here without a car as resort in walking distance to shops and restaurants. Pool area is not great .. small … kinda feels like a extension of the parking lot . Room was ok . Make sure to bring your own toilet paper , paper towels and garbage bags . Rooms with a balconyover looking the marina make this worth 300 a night , but otherwise the rooms and the pool area are just ok.

Booked this place for 7 days for a staycation. We know the area, so the location is very good, across the street (a major road) from the beach, and a few blocks from John’s Pass. We were on the marina side, #204, with a water view, but not a great view, with mostly boats in the way. The balcony is tiny, but it was a space to sit outside, although the neighboring balconies don’t allow for much privacy. The only positive was that it was a dog friendly place, which is the main reason we were there. The small pool was not at all enticing. It sat off to the side of the building, on the parking lot, with loads of small kids. The bathroom fan/light squealed, so we all showered without the light on. One roll of toilet paper was provided, 2 garbage bags,a sponge, a roll of paper towels, and a tiny bar of soap for the bathroom. We bought laundry, dish soap, and everything else we needed. We used to own a vacation rental and would always provide the necessaries for the time rented, including things like cleaning sprays, ketchup, water, coffee, tea, toilet paper, etc., etc. We could have accepted all of these oversights, if the place had just been clean. The floor had definitely not been cleaned, ever. Dog fur everywhere, stains on the master bedroom comforter, dirty dishes, etc. None of us wanted to touch anything. I ended up washing all of the linens. So much for this property management company, TeemingVacation Rentals. Don’t stay anywhere with them managing the property. I’m sure the owner’s of the unit would be appalled! I did contact them about the state of the unit, but heard nothing.

What I liked: the room was clean, and the property was close to John's Pass.

Other than that, I was disappointed. Maybe it is me - but the term "resort" brings to mind something other than what the property delivered. Perhaps in Florida "Resort" means something different than the rest of the world? To me, "Resort" brings to mind cucumber water, lavender scented towels, mints on pillows, and cabana boys peeling my grapes. Nope. None of that. Instead, I was told we had to take out our own trash and wash the dishes before leaving. There was no towel exchange and in fact the towels were small and threadbare. If I'd wanted lodging with no service, I would have found a place on AirBNB. Unfortunately, I paid almost a grand for a 3 day stay where I was my own housekeeper.

The website boasts, "... a beautiful heated swimming pool and Mad Beach Fish House restaurant, with waterfront dining and cocktails. Suites feature picturesque view of the Intracostal Waterway, the Gulf of Mexico and overlooks a marina with an array of impressive yachts." In reality, the pool is in the parking lot. The Mad Beach Fish House restaurant is fairly run down; however, I will say the bartenders were very friendly (particularly Ivy, she grew on us). The view from the restaurant is better than from the lodging area: we particularly liked watching the crazy antics aboard a docked Ranger Tug. As for our lodging view, we had paid more to be "overlooking the marina" but what we got was a view of 2 parking spaces, with the marina off to the right.

Finally, we were assigned room 209. The incredibly uncomfortable beds were practically hammocks. When we lay down next to one another, we rolled inward, and our hind quarters were significantly lower than our heads and feet. Also, this particular room is right next to the office where the person at the desk talked loudly on the phone and watched television all night and everything could be heard through the paper thin walls. I'm still recovering from lack of sleep a week later.

View is awesome and location is even better however, the rest not so great.

Dishwasher was broken, sand in beds, elevators were broken the entire weekend of it wasn’t both it was at least one. Glass Shower door is stuck and is about to fall down. Refrigerator was not cold and when reported to front desk we were told a work order would be put in (this was on day 1) nobody came up to repair it but we were told while we were out maintenance came and said nothing was wrong with it... by the last day someone came up to fix the fridge (too late).
After reporting all of these inconsistencies we still had to pay for a late check out due to late flights. No hospitality to make it right. Go somewhere else to stay for sure.

This condo is the perfect place for a vacation. It is clean, comfortable, and has amazing views of the ocean. We saw dolphins playing in the morning while drinking coffee and eating breakfast on the balcony, and we had manatees swim by us twice. The owners take pride in their place and it shows. The beach is close (just across the street) and John’s Pass is a short walk (5-10 minutes) down the street. My family and I greatly enjoyed our time there and plan on returning in the future.

We just got back from a wonderful week long trip to Madeira Beach. This was our first trip and it did not disappoint. Our 2 bedroom - 2 bathroom condo was well appointed, extremely clean, and had all the comforts of home. We did not pack much other than a few changes of clothing and swimwear.. The washer and dryer were new as were most all the appliances. The kitchen was well stocked with nice dishes, flatware, and cookware. Our view looking off the balcony was breathtaking. We did not miss a sunset and it was a highlight of the trip. There are many restaurants within walking distance. John's Pass and Boardwalk are just 2 blocks south of the condo.
We enjoyed the heated pool each day and met a lot of nice families gathered around the pool.
The staff was friendly and helpful. Check-in was quick. The parking is on the first level and well lit.
We hope to return again as it was such a great time.

My husband and I stayed one night at this resort. Some relatives were also staying there in another unit. We arrived and put our things in the bedroom and left to hang out with our family. We returned only to sleep. We never even went into the living room, we never sat on any of the furniture. The next morning we left. We got a notice we were being charged for a broken chair. We called and told them we never used any of the furniture and we would gladly pay for anything if we in fact broke it. One person we spoke to said the last guests had children and it was probably them but still we were charged $250 for a broken chair we did not sit in. Please be aware. We tried to dispute this but the hotel sent our bank a picture of the broken chair and they still charged us. It’s sad because we would have stayed there again.

Condo 1402 is great! Everything you need for the beach is in this place- wagon, boogie boards, cooler, beach bag, etc. It was clean and modern. It was an easy walk to the beach. If I ever stay in Madeira Beach again, I certainly would stay here again.
