Dogs are not allowed on area Gulf beaches unless it's a designated as a doggie beach. There is not a Gulf coast doggie beach in Madeira... the Bicentennial Park (next to the school, on the intercoastal beach area) across from Publix has permitted dogs on that beach area for years. (But it doesn't have the beautiful Gulf vistas that the Gulf dog beaches have.) So, pretty much everyone chooses to go to a dog beach. Many of our guests with dogs drive down to the award-winning Fort DeSoto Park beaches... Also see on our website info about dog outings...
