I was very worried after reading some of the poor reviews and I prepared for the worst. Thankfully, our room was clean, the staff were all super friendly, and the whole weekend was very nice. The motel is dated but I could see a lot of effort to update. We really enjoyed the live music at night and being so...

Wonderful little motel. Clean. Friendly. On the beach. Went with my brother who is handicapped. Non handicapped patrons whom were parking in the Handicapped Parking spaces were asked to move so my brother could park. Very accomidating. Would stay there again. Amazing pool that is accompanied by a tiki bar and an amazing patio to get those little ones out...

All of the great reviews must have been by people that have an interest in the Hotel. I should've followed my gut and listen to the bad ratings. This will be my first and last time at the El Governor, I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, please don't do the same. As we entered room 325...

Had some business along the Forgotten Coast and decided to give the El Governor a try. Room was beach front which is always nice. The motel is older and the rooms are dated but they were very clean and had a refrigerator and microwave. Very good value

Myself and my husband stayed for one night earlier this week. Room needed some updating but it was clean. Staff seemed to be very friendly. We had a problem with the lighting in our room and within ten minutes of reporting it we had someone come to fix the problem. Would definitely stay again

You cannot beat the location. Motel is right on the beach and every room has an ocean view and a balcony. Rooms are comfortably large. Lots of families here. Slightly older crowd than Panama City Beach. Ask for a room away from tiki bar if you want late night quiet. No restaurant on site but several within walking distance. Negatives...

My husband and I stayed here for three nights. The room the lady gave us since it was our anniversary had a great view (end room where you could see ocean out Front and side). My problem was our blanket on our bed had several big holes in it and when I told the lady when we checked out she...

This hotel has a great location and is not a bad place to stay. There where some issues to make note off. The room was in need of a good cleaning. There was hair left in the tub and the microwave was very dirty inside and under it. The TV was covered in dust. The beds where comfortable. The wifi...

We spent two nights in April at the El Governor Motel. It was spring break and my wife and I wanted to go to the beach. We definitely wanted to avoid the gridlock in Panama City. Mexico Beach fit the bill! Although the motel was full, it never seemed crowded. This is an older motel so don’t go expecting a...
