This is one of our favorite campgrounds. We came here last year and stayed for a couple of weeks. This year we are spending January and February. It is a short walk to the beach on the Gulf of Mexico, with it's pristine white sandy beaches. My wife loves to go shelling there. A couple of nights the have live...

Overall I really liked this place and would definitely come back. But it is rustic!! No paved parking. Laundry facilities and bathhouse are in need of repair. There are a few permanent sites that need to be cleaned up. But I really loved the wide level sites. There is a Tiki Bar and grill onsite that makes homemade pizza and...

This campground is just what the name implies.. it's rustic. It's out away from the town - maybe a mile away; its set back off of road in the trees. The people there are friendly. We met a few locals there as well at the campfire our first nite there. The main thing about this campground that really needs work...

1 star is too many. Talk about lazy! Nobody answers the phone and nobody returns calls before your arrival. Office hours are from 10-3 and check in is anytime after 3. We arrived at 4:00pm only to find the office closed and somebody else in our spot. The female owner drove by while we were having our discussion with the...

I read some of the reviews afraid this place was going to be a dump. It is Rustic, just like their name states. We were at site 6, which was very spacious and had a nice view. Not too close to your neighbors. The pool was clean and nice. We had the pizza from the bar, and it was pretty...

My husband and I Have been coming here for years. The owners will do whatever they can to make your stay a great one. It's called Rustic Sands because it is rustic and sandy. I see complaints on here about things that are nuts. It's camping. it's a great place to be with great people. These are things that need...

Ok let me start with saying in the end we had a good time. However, when we first got there we tried our hardest to find another place to stay. All the local hotels were booked for we were forced to stay. We tried to check in about 5 on a Friday, we could not find ANYONE to check in...
