I have been a lifelong Marriott rewards member, and have always had good experiences with all Marriott properties. However, I stayed solo in the Element Brickell, Miami and was injured due to the negligence of the hotel. I reported it and filed an incident report, and I am currently being treated for my injury, however the response and follow-up from the management of this hotel has been far less than adequate. Shame on this hotel and Marriott, not what would be expected in this situation.
If you want a clean no mold smell hotel this is a good start. Room was very clean. Try to sleep is another thing. Train constantly going by. The air conditioner runs 4-5 minutes stops for 1-2 minutes and repeats. Turn the fan on for constant noise, the fan rattles. Fan rattles no matter.
Great hotel. But elevators take very long because they are too few for two hotels in one building and they are shared between guests and cleaning staff as well. The bars restaurant and free breakfast are great. On street Parking is very difficult and valet is expensive but the crew is very professional and courteous. Lucia at the front desk made the reservation process very easy and was very accommodating. Although the bathroom floor did have human hair from another customer before me and floors were not as clean as I would like.
Jacket left in room during checkout. Immediately notified front desk after checkout yet hotel staff have gone no followup. Was told manager would look in room, then was told no manager is available, then they said we will not look in room. So at this point, the management/staff have presumably stolen a jacket or provided circumstances for another guest to steal the jacket. Numerous calls to hotel have been ignored. Marriott central team has been equally unhelpful. Will be filling a police report to report the purported theft as Element/Marriott have been useless. As lifetime status member and weekly traveler, I can honestly say the worst experience from over 2,000 hotel nights in the past 10 years. Appalling.
Such a cool location! Walking paths near by, a super cool mall and fun restaurants all in close proximity. Walk just around the corner to the river to watch the giant yachts show themselves off! Nice bar and outdoor pool area, nice breakfast with friendly and attentive staff.
I love the room and breakfast but the constant bass music from the pool area (which I can hear over 15 floors above) is so loud and unnecessary. Thank god I’m not on a lower floor. Please turn this music off for the sake of your guests.
I stayed here for business for two weeks. I had two different rooms. The first was small and faced the metro & people mover tracks. It was a bit noisy. The second faced the other side of the property and was quiet. The hotel staff were pleasant. The complimentary breakfast was ok. The valet parking was efficient. The gym was satisfactory. In addition, the hotel is located close to many restaurants in the Brickell area — as well as an urban shopping mall.
My colleagues and I stayed here for a few weeks as part of a very stressful work trip. Early days. Late nights. So much stress. And the lovely and thoughtful folks here could not have made our lives easier or (relatively) more pleasant. First, the front desk staff was absolutely amazing. A bright smile every day. Concern if anything was less than perfect. One woman in particular went above and beyond by arranging a thoughtful, surprise gift (with a card signed by staff) for one of our teammates stuck with us in a hotel and stressful circumstances on her 40th birthday. Amazing! Second, the lovely ladies who make breakfast every morning are so sweet and thoughtful. They helped me day in and day out, always with pride in their work and a giant smile. Third, the bar staff! I didn’t spend a lot of time there (for obvious reasons) but that team was incredible at making us laugh and relax. Great, caring people. Fourth, the housekeeping staff as the silent backbone of the place. Every day, my room was in such good repair when I came back. Such a wonderful treat. A few times, they even gently draped the suit coats I threw all over the place. Finally, the valet crew! So amazing. It’s hot out there. Every day, my car was ready with a smile. They knew me by name. They helped me with my abundant work bags. They never judged the grossness of my car as I threw trash in the back, racing from point a to point b. So sad to say goodbye. Such a great place and a home away from home. Thanks, guys!…
Element Brickell is an extended stay hotel made for business travelers that shares building with a Marriott AC hotel. At date of my 2 week stay the hotel was only 4 months old so everything has the new paint look and feel. The lobby, rooms, common spaces, food service area, and pool are all Miami Modern in design, clean and well maintained. Rooms are spacious and include sink, refrigerator, dishwasher, and basic kitchen utensils. The beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are large with walk-in showers and good lighting. Air conditioning is built in wall and not noisy. Parking is valet only and a little pricey at $50 a night. My only complaint is the included breakfast is very limited. They have a full kitchen and offer a hot breakfast but only serve one hot item a day such as an egg burrito that is made in front of you. The issue is they only serve it one way. They don’t make custom orders such as an omelette or scrambled eggs and bacon even though all they have all the ingredients. They have have items like bagels and English muffins but only one jelly spread, no cream cheese or other toppings. There was coffee and juices but no orange juice. This is the only thing that’s preventing me from booking here again.…
This hotel was pretty good. Location was close to great food and shopping and very close to the cruise port. It was clean. Had a nice pool. Staff was friendly. The only complaint is when checking in they force you in to spending $20 for some BS reason. This was never communicated while booking that's why i call it a scam. Other than the $20 scam its a good hotel.
