It was great to get to room after a stay at airport waiting. For a flight two hours late and missing connection in Miami. When I usually come to Miami for a cruse which usually stay to closer to the airport.
I stayed for nights on business, and would definitely stay there again on my next trip - business or pleasure. The rooms and hallways are clean and the layout of the one bedroom is really nice with a full sized refrigerator and freezer (and it works). The breakfast is pretty good - especially the quality of the fresh fruit. The fitness center was great for me with a recumbent bike and there's also treadmills and some weight training if you're into that. You have to valet park at extra cost - but pretty much all Miami hotels are like that if you're close to downtown. within 10-15 minutes of Whole Foods and Publix and plenty of restaurants. Pool isn't much, but that wasn't important to me. I complained that the hot water wasn't working but that was my fault, turning the dial the wrong way and not patient enough when trying the opposite to let the water get hot!! It takes a few minutes, be patient. Only "miss" was that a small device with outlets for power above the desk/table hadn't been cleaned for a while, but I didn't think a star subtraction was warranted because of the following: the staff is great - they really have a great attitude, friendly, and accommodating. This included the Valet staff - I never called ahead and they were really efficient at getting the car timely - and always with a smile on their faces. Great folks.…
Room was never vacuumed during my 4 day/night stay, the bathroom shower had black mold and the bathroom ceiling access door had a rust colored fungus in plain view. Hotel built 30-40 yards from train tracks in which the noise is heard periodically all night,
I have stayed at this hotel before so I returned and this booking I made direct with the hotel. I will say at the outset they gave me a late check-out BUT it was done reluctantly and it was an effort to get it. I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks (in Miami on business) and I have the top status with Hilton Honors (lifetime diamond). I asked for a 4pm checkout as I had a late flight to London. First they would not confirm anything even though I had been told by reception the hotel was only 63% full the day I was leaving. They relented to 2pm and after pressing the staff I got 3pm. Someone who has been there 2 weeks and has the status I have, should not be given such a runaround. They could not care less. Now to the other issues: 1. the so-called Assistant General Manager was very rude when he called the room wanting my credit card details. I had not been in the room 24hrs having arrived late the night before after travelling all day and couldn't initially find my wallet when I was checking in 2. Housekeeping was of a very poor standard a) for 3 days a scrap of paper was left on the floor beside the bed. I wanted to see when they would clear it b) dirty sweet wrappers from the previous guest were in the beside table draw c) frequently towels were not replaced despite me wanting service everyday and saying that numerous times d) often the bathroom was not cleaned satisfactorily e) I had a small cut and there was a drop of blood on the sheets, they did not change them for 3 days and it was visible (see image) 3. water pressure was pathetic even when turned on full (see image which shows full flow) note: i was trying to add a 6sec video showing poor water pressure but it would not attach 4. it took upto 4 minutes to get hot water in the sink 5. I was told you had to run both the sink tap and the shower to get the hot water flowing in either place. Talk about wasting water. 6. The front desk told me they were only placing a security hold on my credit card. I made it clear to them on numerous occasions NOT to charge anything to the presented card as I would use a different card on check-out. They placed charges on the first card and then reversed them and I have been left with an additional $119 to pay Amex for foreign exchange rates. The staff at the hotel had no clue about much.…
Everyone was very welcoming. We had some special requests and they were accommodates without any issues. Will definitely stay there again, when we are in the area. It is a very short walk to the nearest Publix and restaurants and the Underline public park is very close.
Room was not very clean, my children found previous occupants clothing in the floor beside the bed and also there were soiled washcloths still hanging in the from the shower head. We were really tired from traveling and on a tight schedule to get to cruise so we stayed and I reported it to front desk upon checkout. Will never stay there again.
Staying here made me want to revoke my diamond membership and stay away from Hilton forever. Where to begin. 1. Room wasn't ready when they promised, so we had to wait in the lobby with all our luggage for a very long time. 2. The breakfast was one of the worst I've had at a hotel. They said breakfast until 10 AM but ran out of food at 9:30 and refused to cook more. 3. The staff serving the breakfast was rude to every guest I saw them interact with. They patronized all guest and seemed annoyed and unhappy that we were staying at their hotel. This was what really got to me and my group. We have never seen such poor customer service at any hotel we've ever stayed at. 4. They refused to give us late checkout, but, as mentioned before, no issue with giving us late check-in Seriously considering never staying at a Hilton again.…
Worst experience ever!!! Payed almost $900 for 2 nights, room was not what we expected nor was worth the cost from what we have spent on other hotels. No room service , 3 damn towels for a family of 5, water would turn cold out of no where and would stay cold for a good long time. Worst experience, not worth it at all and never again will we stay here!!
Nice, large room and comfortable beds. But went running and came back to a shower with not even lukewarm water. Part of the shower is falling off wall, tub drain is clogged and backs up, and mold on ceiling. Very disappointed for almost $400/night.
When we first arrived the valet and front desk check was nice… the room was clean but the bathroom was half cleaned which is ok because I always re clean the bathroom and spray down sheets with lysol. 5 of us traveled together which was noted on our arrival but only 4 towels were provided. Each time I requested towels they were washing (which was in the am) and took hours for us to receive them. I ended up having to purchase my own. I requested the room be clean both days it was only clean the 1st day.
