Really bad service. Over promised and under delivered. No shuttle service. No internet. Room was not cleaned. No bellman service. Only one restaurant staff. Service was slow. Breakfast options limited. Front office staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. Bed linen did not appear to be clean. They are old and dingy. That was my second stay there and the first was Bed and the second was worse. The deposit that was held on the room is still not released. Even after my husband and I contacted the hotel. They were very unhelpful with this also...Never again.
We booked this hotel last minute after realizing coming off a cruise we’d be without a place to stay until check in at an Airbnb. It was poor planning on our part but when we called and we’re told they had availability we scooped it right up. The check in process was simple and quick and everyone we interacted with was super nice. We would recommend this for anyone staying overnight before taking a flight somewhere.
Needed last minute an hotel near the airport. From e-mailing the hotel about the pick up at the airport till the drop off, al went smoothly and friendly service I read it was recently refurbished, you definitely notice this. Also great bar in the hotel and a latin place very nearby to have sometihing to eat (fish mainly) and drink. Defintely recommend this place if you look for a great value/location combination. If you are looking for 4 or 5 starts with a price triple as the Regency go somewhere else.
The hotel is nicely done, with large rooms and desks, etc., and the restaurant/ bar is right off the pool if you want a drink to sit by the pool (lots of tables and chairs, lounges etc. The staff was excellent and attentive, and check-out was a breeze. Also, it is a straight shot up the road to connect to the street where all the rental car companies are, and across the street a great breakfast spot -- Latino Cafe. Whether for a stopover or longer stay, you can't go wrong here.
Had to stay for an overnight flight. Was convenient and quick to book at 10pm. No hassles, nice place and close to airport. Cool pool for the kids if you have kids. Big grand piano in the hall they let my kid play a a few tunes. Thanks regency!
The first impression was way less appealing than what I expected when booking. Everything is run down and makes the impression of being (sporadically) under renovation. The elevator is extremely slow and so is the wifi. The room featured exactly one towel per person. If you want a good night sleep before a travel day - DON'T stay here. The A/C unit will be so loud you could barely rest. Never again.
We came here the night before our cruise. It is definitely not like the pictures. The bar area smells like stinky feet. The elevator was broke so we had to drag our luggage up the stairs. There was only two towels and three flat pillows. The floor was wet, I think the fridg had leaked water from it. It was a place to lay our head before our cruise but for $136.00 not worth it. No shuttle to cruise ships .
I staying at the regency for over 30year every time I go to Miami but this time was totally different with this new management the rooms them was so updated clean the rooms lock has been change the new staff from front desk is so helpful know like many year ago I spoke with the new management the lDy was very pleasant and friendly the pool know is very nice the next step they have to do is start back the buffet breakfast is very important I spoke with some guest from there that was the only concern the breakfast buffet style the variety they use to had but on the other side everything was ok rooms smell clean no cigarette smoking I was there in octuber and return on November 2021 and also on June and retur in July and it was stil good also is hard to get true reservation or booking you have to go true front desk to make your reservation hoping that that wil Chang soon wil surely retur soon thank you faithful guest for a long time…
The Rooms were Clean and the Staff were Friendly and Courteous. Restaurants are within walking distance and delivery of food is available. Note, Parking onsite, but may not be free (inquire on rates prior to travel). My stay was short, so unable to comment on maid service (not needed). I prefer to avoid carpet because of allergies, but that comes at a premium. The rooms were clean and no bad carpet odors. Only 10 minute drive to Downtown Miami.
The hotel is decent but there were ssues with the bar and restaurant. When we booked our reservation we read that breakfast is included or you can pay to have breakfast included. But it isn't. In fact, when we arrived at breakfast the buffet wasn't set up. There wasn't even any coffee. When we spoke with the server he said that this was due to COVID. However, if you read the reviews from other guest you will see that they had a buffet available during the pandemic. The staff members in the restaurant and at the bar were not friendly. I recommend that management improving the working conditions of their employees. Happy employees equals happy customers.
