I reserved three rooms under a corporate rate for which I'm entitled. The online computer system of course confirmed my rate. As I would be late for my Friday check in, I came IN PERSON on Monday before to show my corporate ID, license, etc and to put my friend's name on the reservation so they could check in with ease. They checked in on Friday only to have a manager NOT honor the rate stating that the corporate rate in question was only valid for one room. I called to advise not only had I used that rate for multiple rooms in that location on several occasions, but took the extra step to check in days in advance and was not advised there was an issue. Management refused to honor my rate. I called corporate on a couple of occasions to "open a case" on the matter, and the manager simply closed the case saying again that rate wasn't available for multiple rooms. Corporate told me a different story advising there is NO limit on the amount of rooms for that rate. A call to two other General Managers advised me the same. This management has made no effort to try to make this right. They've clearly not called corporate for clarification on the rate as I have done on a few occasions. But hey- if I show up in person and take care of everything in advance, wouldn't that be the end of it RIGHT THERE? This hotel does not deserve the Marriott Banner, and the reviews on their internal website (9 of the last 25 being 1 star reviews) make that very plain. I'm confident my situation will be resolved fairly most likely through corporate intervention, but not without great effort on my part and no effort from hotel management.

Loved the location of this hotel. 5 min walk to the beach and tons of restaurants near by. Joe and the entire staff- front desk and housekeeping, were amazing. We arrived early and was able to check in at that time. The rooms are very spacious especially compared to most rooms in South beach. The rooftop pool is my favorite feature and one of the reasons I booked this hotel for my trip. The room was clean and the property was well maintained. I do not blame the hotel for the noise from other guests and it was not a major issue. There was one night where a group was loud but nothing that would deter me from booking here again. My only gripe was that the elevator to the pool seemed to work sporadically but we were on the 4th floor so it was easy enough to use the stairs. All in all, great hotel!

I arrived at the hotel on a employee rate and I had 2 rooms. Upon my arrival, the front desk person indicated that I could not get 2 rooms at an employee rate and that my sister (who is the employee) had to go online and book another reservation. I told the front desk person that did not make sense and asked if the reservation could simply be put in my sister's name since she was the employee. The front desk person told me no that she had to make another reservation so I asked to speak to the GM. Jose Leal later came and indicate he was the GM and said that he would put the 2nd reservation in my sister's name but told me that my sister had to obtain an employee form with her name on it. Once my sister arrived she shared with Jose that we had to take a Lyft to another hotel to obtain the form with her name on it from my brother's hotel and it was an inconvenience. We could not understand why he could not simply take her ID. The GM told her she needed to bring the form back. So we brought the form back later and found out the 2nd room was never changed into my sister's name. Both rooms were still in my name and when I checked out both rooms were still in my name. We were inconvenienced and had to take a Lyft to another hotel to obtain a form that we never needed. Also the let out couch was filthy. I asked the housekeeper if I could have some sheets to cover it and the love seat. I will not stay here again.

We stayed here for a few nights in early May. We put our rental car in the hotel's valet parking at a rate of $40/night. A few days later we asked for them to bring us the car and after much back and forth we found out that THE VALET SERVICE GAVE OUR RENTAL CAR TO ANOTHER GUEST. They brought us a rental car and told us it was our car. It was not. It took 7 hours to get this resolved and regain possession of the correct car. Getting the car back involved 2 visits to the hotel from The Miami Beach Police Department. We lost an entire day of our trip due to the incompetence of the hotel's valet parking service. Hotel management is not great. There is a lack of empathy for what hotel staff (in this case the valet service) puts their customers through. They offered to refund us for one night's stay. We pushed for more given our bad experience and the time we lost. The general manager, Doris Diaz, would not budge beyond the offer of refunding one night. Despite a detailed outline of the extra costs we incurred as well as the time we lost while working to get the car back. "My offer of 35K points for the inconvenience is meant as a gesture of goodwill for your discomfort." -- Doris Diaz in a reply to our email asking for an appropriate level of compensation. Framing the refund as a "gesture of goodwill for our discomfort" is absurd. They ruined our vacation, have no appreciation for giving away a rental car from their valet service to the wrong person, and the risk incurred because of their mistake. The hotel messed up in a major way and is not really interested in making it right. To top it off they said the points for one night’s stay were credited on 5/30 and we still don't have them. We have replied asking for an update and we haven't heard back after 2 days. I do not recommend staying at this hotel.

I stayed here on a saturday night in April 2021 and was in a room that bordered the club next door, it was so loud my hotel room was vibrating. The room was very expensive and feel that I was overcharged given the situation and should get a refund or discount. I couldn't sleep until 3 or 4am and it ruined my trip. There was also some hair on the bathroom sink and I wonder about the COVID-19 cleaning at the hotel since there were no notes or tv remote in a bag, etc. like I have seen at other hotels.
