First thing to know is this is a good old low budget seaside hotel. Nothing fancy, so don't get all uppity about the room decor or the lack of turn down service! Once you accept that, it all goes up from there. There is an awesome little open air bar out back called Lemon Bar, that looks out over the...

This hotel is surrounded by great restaurants within walking distance and has the Lemon bar on it's premises, and it has an old school "old Florida" feel; the courtyard / pool area is very pretty and all of it's gates are secure so no one but customers get in or out. Beds were comfortable, has flat screen TV & balcony...

Beautiful, well kept resort right on the beach with the top Florida beach bar on site! My fiancé kept telling me I hit a home run by booking a room at the Seahorse!!!! When she is happy, I am happy!!! Planning to bring a family group back next spring. We love this place!!!

This is an old-school 1950's Florida beach motel. Open air, two stories, built of bricks, indoor/outdoor carpeting, small porch, small bathroom, noisy AC, noisy neighbors - you name it. It was just what we were looking for! Who needs to pay four times as much to stay at the hotel next door? We were only in the room to sleep...

What I loved most were the semi-circular alcoves facing the morning sun. The weather was cold when I was there -- too cold to try to sunbathe by the pool. Most of us sun-worshippers sat in chairs facing the morning sun, in our alcoves. We were sheltered from the cold breeze, thanks to the semi-circular walls of the alcoves, but...

The owners have kept up an older two story motel that IS oceanfront. The staff treated us great. Many businesses, restaurants and bars are within 3 blocks walk. Their Lemon Bar is very popular and well run. The beach is nice and not real crowded. Parking is adequate for cats but larger vehicles should call first to arrange something.

I'm giving the Seahorse 4 stars - not by any means lack on cleanliness. The hotel is immaculate. While it is an older landmark style hotel, I found that to actually be part of it's charm. I was immediately whisked away to an era of the fifties with convertible Cadillacs and ladies in peddle pushers. The hotel rooms ( and...

I was in town for some appointments at the Mayo clinic, but wanted a restful location away from there. This was just what the doctor ordered! The hotel was just steps from the beach, perfect for long walks and wading in the water. There were also tons of great restaurants within a 2 to 3 block radius. We enjoyed Southern...

The location is everything. Located by a small town center of shops and restaurants, you can walk to dinner or coffee or a wine bar and stroll back, with the room at entirely reasonable prices. I love old Florida establishments and was excited to stay here. The classic kitsch does not carry to the inside though, which I had hoped/...
