Absolutely blown away is what my husband and I were as we approached the Alling House. The property is not only beautiful outside, it's beauty continues to lace every inch of the main house (as well as the cottages - we got to see them) and then on to the owners!!! Gerald met us as we entered and gave us...

An excellent weekend thanks to the gracious hospitality of the owners, Gerald and Nan. We stayed in the Gold room and it was lovely. The owners attention to detail is nothing short of extraordinary, anything and everything you could want for a relaxing weekend was provided for, and the breakfast was awesome as it included all kind of fruits, eggs,...

My husband & I come here at least once a year, if not more. Gerald & Nan are wonderful hosts and this is the only B&B we have stayed at that really thinks of everything you might need. We have always stayed in the cottages and love the privacy and coziness they provide. Every cottage has a nightlight in the...

The Alling House was recommended by friends living in the area. We were met at the door by Gerald who proceeded to give us a tour of the house and grounds including the history of the home and its previous owners. The property consists of the house with three rooms available for two guests and themed cabins adjacent to the...

Everything about this B & B is charming. It is cozy and quiet. The owners are always on the premises and willing to provide whatever is needed, whether it is a chat or late night hot water or help with your bags. The place feels very safe and that was important since I was traveling alone. I stayed in the...

My husband and I found Alling House on-line. My parents live nearby. We just moved them into a smaller home. We will be staying often with Nan and Gerald because they offer complete mini homes; complete with kitchens,a dining area, generous bedrooms and modern bathrooms. We stayed in the Railroad Cottage and we loved the decor-amazing antiques! Gerald and Nan...

Top marks for every category. The property is a restored 1908 main house and a number of cottages. The grounds were very inviting, with a large walkway that encircles the cottages, creating a sort of "central park". We stayed in the Homestead Cottage and it was perfect for our family of 4. Gerald and Nan do indeed pay attention to...

What a place! Gerald and Nan are pleasant and accommodating. They opened the front door upon our arrival, gave us the grand tour of the house, showed us their new kitten, and checked us in at the home office. The house is so beautifully done and restored. Breakfast was fabulous. Blue Spring State Park is right down the road, and...
