The hotel was excellent but what made the stay particularly good was the staff. From a great welcome at check in, being briefed and supported by Luke in VIP Services or just the warmth of the whole team. A very special thank you is also due to the breakfast team who started our day off with a smile, especially Lizy who deserves a medal for her fantastic, cheerful service every morning - we didn’t need Disney to make our stay magical!
Such an awesome experience we had for our 3 day stay 7/6-7/9 at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando. Every person we made contact with were professional, courteous, and kind! Names that come to my mind are Alexia, I know there are two, Leilani, Jiselle, & Steven our Bellman, that’s just at the front desk…. We also received above and beyond treatment from Valentina at the pool, Rene& Summer from Aquamarine, and a pool attendant named Asymen who found us chilled cans of Perrier. Everyone we encountered had genuine smiles on their face. We met different families during our stay that told us they have been coming to your property many repeat times, I can defiantly see why. I met Leilani yesterday to ask her about availability in August, I told her that I canceled a reservation in Dallas to come to the Waldorf Orlando instead. I mentioned that my wife and I would be celebrating my 60th. and we would love to experience it there. She told me she was born in August also and the rest is history! Alexa and Jiselle bent over backwards to book a reservation at Bull & Bear Steakhouse too! I can go on for hours…. I know I'm forgeting more names so please forgive me.. One more thing, our room was always spotless and whatever we need was always a text away! We will be praying that God allows us the blessing of enjoying this special time in my life at your property.. God bless you all at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando and see you in August.…
Truly a 5 star girls weekend for my friend’s birthday celebration! The spa was amazing… Kim, Michelle, and Jane gave perfect massages. After the spa we lounged by the pool with drinks and lunch served by Christian!! He gave exceptional service and you could tell he took pride in his job. I highly recommend the skinny margs! If you make your way to the Peacock Alley Bar make sure to say hi to Arnold and Sabrina! Arnold, aka Sir Mix A Lot, makes the most amazing Espresso Martinis and Old Fashioneds. Sabrina was entertaining and very attentive! Be sure to check out the breakfast buffet at Oscars before you leave. It’s quite the spread! Gluten free muffins, omelets, and green juice were crave worthy.
There were over 200 of us , so it was nice we all fit into one facility . Everything was great. The main pool at the Waldorf was closed , but we are able to walk over to the Hilton side and enjoy the lazy river pool. Housekeeping was so good , that I put out my privacy sign to avoid having my clothes put away for me , lol. Housekeeping then texted me asking when I would want the room made , or what supplies did I need . I never had a texting relationship with housekeeping before , and I liked that level of service.
The service from when we valeted the car to front desk, housekeeping, room service, text messages to make sure we were having a great stay was unbelievable!! The food was delicious!! ( the room service homemade chicken soup!!! Delicious!! Thank you Chefs!! ) We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much for making our vacation unforgettable!!
Maybe this hotel is ok if you want to waste money while you visit the nearby theme parks. The rooms are functional - bed, toilet, shower - but with a lot of wasted space and without character. The staff mostly try to be helpful, but the number of times I saw an unmasked employee cough or sneeze (including around food) suggests that management doesn't care enough about either them or guests to enable people to stay home when they're ill. They advertise being in a nature preserve but the area is not good for runners or walkers. The "preserve" is largely an environmental scar of a golf course with unfriendly signs to stay off unless you're golfing. Meeting rooms are generic and over air-conditioned.
My wife and I stayed here for the second time just after New Years. We stayed in a Deluxe King Suite w/Balcony for a week to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday and visit the Disney parks. This was our second stay here and everything was just as good or better than the first visit. Breakfast in Oscars is fantastic - the buffet has healthy options, hearty options, and purely decadent options! It's our favorite breakfast of any hotel or resort we've stayed at and the servers are all so friendly and helpful. Peacock Alley also has tasty drinks as well as great burgers and flatbreads...perfect for late evening meals after long days at the parks. We also celebrated with a meal at Bull & Bear which was well worth the money and deserves all of the hype. The suite was also perfect for what we needed. Having the extra space to spread out during our downtown and relax on the balcony with a cup of coffee in the morning was perfect. Everything in the room is comfortable and clean, but some elements are starting to show signs of wear (nothing that affected our stay). We again utilized the complimentary shuttle service to get to and from the Disney parks - the schedule is easy to follow and very convenient. The staff were all amazing - we were surprised on a few occasions with extra touches for my wife's birthday that really made the stay special and memorable. We can't wait for our next visit!…
This is only our second stay at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando. The first time was about a year after they opened, so it’s been a while. We typically stay on Disney property, but this hotel also offers early entry to their guests. They also have a shuttle, which we did not use. We took our granddaughter for an extra magical birthday celebration. Side note, the Four Seasons has an alternative to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Pricing is about the same, but appointments are easier to come by. Our visit was very short. Just two days. We were literally just there to shower and sleep, so we did not get to really enjoy the resort. The staff was exceptional. Everyone that we came in contact with was very professional and helpful. Our room was very clean and well maintained. That being said, it is looking it’s age. Perhaps a refresh is in the near future. I will forever be irked by resort fees. Especially when paying above average rates for a room. We pretty much paid $100 total for 4 bottles of water. No bueno. We love the location, the staff and we slept well. But at $650 per night plus resort fees & parking, I will likely only return if we will have a “just resort” stay. No parks. …
From the moment we arrived we was made so welcome The staff were helpful and Friendly nothing was to much trouble for them the rooms were beautiful and clean the hotel is decorated lovely I would stay here again we were sad we wasn't staying longer
We stayed on Dec 17th in room 1401. The Check-in process was good. I paid to upgrade to a suite but didn't expect to have a room at the lowest level (4th) so the front desk rep helped me to get something higher which was room 1401. My wife and son stepped on something sharp from the bedroom floor and what I found was unbelievable. There must be a broken glass cup or something that the housekeeping didn't clean up right. Upon checking the floor I found so many pieces of glass that hurt my 5-year-old son and my wife. I called the front desk and explained what happened, what they said in the morning was "We will send the housekeeping supervisor". A little after that call, a lady with a vacuum just came in then vacuumed the floor once again then left without saying anything about what happened to us. What is even worse was that after the "housekeeping supervisor" vacuumed the floor, I still found the glass pieces. The front desk never reached out to us back from my incident report and we were so disappointed and just checked out of the hotel. This Waldorf Astoria is linked to a regular Hilton hotel(Signia). Don't expect the level of service that you are getting from other Waldorf Astoria locations.…
