We stayed at the Grand Floridian Villas for our first welcome home stay with disney vacation club. Although having our first stay during COVID wasn’t ideal, we had a wonderful time. The resort and ground are beautiful. The rooms were clean and well kept. The only issue we kept having was with our magic bands and getting into the room. We had to visit the front desk several times to figure out the issue with our magic bands not working as our room key.
The benefits of staying at this resort is access to magic kingdom. The monorail was very quick and easy. We also took the beautiful new walking path to magic kingdom which was a quick 10-15 minute walk. If you’re weren’t staying on points staying at the Villas would be very expensive so that is the negative draw back. Otherwise a wonderful stay and we have several more stays booked in 2021.

Welcome to the Disney Vacation Club, Shannon! I am delighted that you decided to become a Member, and what an amazing location for your first stay. I love the photos you took of your Deluxe Studio. One of the things I appreciate most about these accommodations is the fact that you have a beautiful walk-in shower AND a bathtub in a separate area! Thanks so much for stopping by to share your review. We can't wait to welcome you home again soon! Quinn Disney Social Reviews

This is by far my favorite resort. We stayed in a studio in the Big Pine Building. Our room was on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool. It was impeccably clean, beautifully appointed, the view was great - we could see the evening fireworks clearly over the top of the buildings. The ONLY, only thing I can say is that the parking is difficult to that building. The parking is in front of the main DVC building so you have a hike to your room. They do allow you to bring your cart to your room without an attendant which we greatly appreciated. They have the best quick service at all of the Disney hotels - I can still get my croissant breakfast sandwich - nummy!! Everyone was so helpful and nice. Smiling, they go out of their way to help make you comfortable. Thank you, Grand Floridian, for another great stay. Financially, I have to sell my points, so this is probably my last stay, but it was wonderful and very memorable!!

We stayed in a two bedroom villa with a large living room separating the bedrooms. Two large bathrooms with TVs inside the mirrors (insane)!! We were on the ground level adjacent to the pool so was very pleased that my kids could go right outside all the while I kept an eye on them. Main lobby with band and music playing is so relaxing. We did the tea party for my daughter two times here and it was just magical. In terms of restaurants you can’t go wrong. We are big foodies and love the restaurants at this resort. Spa is great. Transportation by boat to the park is amazing. We have stayed at many Disney resorts and this one is to die for and a must for any Disney fan!!

What a review! I can tell by your comments, you and your family had a most amazing time visiting The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. There is no shortage of opulence when staying in a 2-Bedroom Villa from the television in the mirrors to the sweeping views of Seven Seas Lagoon, or even the Resort itself! When you're not in the room enjoying the ambiance, the food options are divine. My personal favorite is dining at night at Citricos. The food is delicious and the experience is even better. Thanks for this grand review. We'll see you next time! Addie Disney Social Reviews

Room: needs a complete refresh. Stains on couch cushions and chair cushions. Bathroom hardware falling apart with finishes all rusted. Cobwebs in room between the curtains and the door out to the balcony. Room for five people, towels for three. Normally you can pay extra to have daily housekeeping, but it was not available during our stay.
Resort: pool activities on the resort activity list did not take place for the children. Bathroom was not very clean. We are not allowed a late checkout, but we were told there are showers available in the pool bathroom to freshen up and change. Well, it would be nice if there was warm water, but nope.
Bus service to parks were limited and sporadic, ended up using Uber for Epcot, AK and Hollywood Studios.
Staying at a flagship resort, but having to spend six months trying to get dinner reservations at the restaurants is unacceptable. The only reservations we were able to book at the hotel were 830, which with children is not easy. What made it harder is that they never even run close to the reservation time. Unable to get a single breakfast in the five days we were on property.
If you are looking for a more luxurious experience, I truly recommend considering one of the other resorts near the parks. We've stayed at the Four Seasons, and considering the cleanliness, the attentiveness, and the service (including availability of meals), we are considering selling back our DVC membership and just traveling ala carte if we ever want to return to Magic Kingdom.

The new updates for the rooms are very nice. It was time and Disney delivered as it has been almost 10 years since the VGF were built. The Murphy beds are very nice. I slept on one for four nights and it was very comfortable and not much different than a bed. As we stayed in a two bedroom and then a one bedroom we were lucky to have laundry capabilities. This is so nice as you may pack less and even take home clean clothing. My only concern was: We were in a two bedroom and then had to move to the one bedroom which is a bit of a hassle. Had we been in a two bed lock-off we would not have had to move. We spoke to concierge about this prior to travel, at arrival, and again right before we had to pack up and move.

We stayed at the villas building and our kind requests were granted to overlook the monorail and be on high floor (5th floor assigned). Remarkable stay as the fourth Disney resorts vacations (wilderness lodge/riviera/Polynesian) for our family of 5. Lovely cast members, knowledgeable and trustworthy. Comfortable studios with everything you will need and more as it is with Disney high standards. Gorgeous grounds even with the big thanksgiving crowds, all the remodeling and nearby constructions. Loved it as much as we loved our Riviera Resort stay. If you are thinking about where to stay split your stay bewteen these two for a magical time and surpassed expectations. Only recommendations would be to:
1. Always (all times of a checkin) offer help for luggage transportation to the rooms, even if it has to be just lending the hotel cart for some time so the guests can go up and about
2. Install additional hangers for towels, wet or dressing clothes
3. Increase cleaning supervision at any time in shared bathrooms since poop was sticked to the villas building floor on the night we arrived at 930pm.
4. Empty trash cans in the rooms on a daily basis and remove any towels found in the floor.

The hotel's exterior is absolutely beautiful and well maintained, however the rooms are quite a different story. The lobby has VERY worn down rugs. The furniture in the rooms is worn out from use (the loveseat has indentations in the cushions from use and various stains that make sitting on it a rather gross prospect). The wrought iron patio furniture has many chips in the paint, and the bathroom mirror has rust. The touch up paint job in my room would be absolutely hilarious if I wasn't paying over $500 a night to stay here. For Disney to call this hotel room part of the "flagship" resort says a lot about Disney's reduction in standards of the years. This doesn't even include the problems with house keeping that I encountered. I found hair in my bath tub and used dental floss on the bathroom floor in the first room I placed. My second room had the loveseat stains and absurd paint job. I have recently stayed at other Disney hotels (Riviera, Grand Destino Tower and the Polynesian) and all were much better. I suggest you take your money elsewhere.

It is truly disheartening to read of your disappointment, however, I'm glad you've brought these concerns to our Resort Leadership. We should always strive for only top notch quality and service, so knowing your stay was anything less means we missed the mark. I want to assure you our Resorts receive renovations on a rotating basis to help keep things fresh and welcoming for our Guests. That being said, I understand the experience you had and promise that, beyond your in person interactions with Leadership, your comments here have been shared appropriately as well so we can improve moving forward. While I know this particular stay was a let down, I do hope we'll welcome you back to any one of our many Resort hotels in the future for a much more magical stay. Brie Disney Social Reviews

We just returned from a wonderful trip home celebrating our daughter’s college graduation We are DVC members and this was our first stay at the Grand Floridian villas.
We had booked a standard view and were upgraded to a lake view. Oh how we enjoyed having our morning coffee out on the balcony and enjoying wine in the evenings!
Our villa was spotless. The service was impeccable. We were missing a wine bottle opener in our room and we called the front desk and the immediately brought two to us. There were only two chairs on our balcony and when we asked for more they graciously brought more while we were at the parks.
The pool was so relaxing and we also enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at Grand Floridian Cafe. Our server was great.
I would highly recommend this resort! I can’t wait to book our next trip and stay here again. I appreciate everything the wonderful cast members did to make our stay magical!

I am delighted to hear that you chose to celebrate your daughter's graduation with us. Please pass along our congratulations to her, what an amazing accomplishment! I am completely envious of that upgrade to a Lake View. Sitting on the balcony in the mornings with a cup of coffee, and then again in the evenings with a glass of wine, sounds absolutely perfect in every way. I especially love that you enjoyed your experience so much that you're already planning to come back. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your review and these amazing pictures. We booked a 20-bedroom room for a family of 7 adults and 2 kids. Amazing service but sadly the sound proofing not good as we could hear the outside rear door of the resort closes and open. Also the housekeeping does not seems to replenish our bath amenities.
Concierge Bob is really nice and helpful.

I’m very thrilled to learn that our Cast Members provided you with such excellent service--especially Bob. It will be my pleasure to share your gratitude with his Leadership team so he can be recognized on your behalf. On the other hand, I’m sorry to hear about your concerns with the noise level outside your room. We always want our Guests to have a relaxing experiencing when trying to rest in their rooms and I apologize if this noise level had an impact on your stay. I will be sharing your feedback with the appropriate Leadership team. Thank you for your review and I look forward to us welcoming you again soon, Justin. Betty Disney Social Reviews

Our second stay at the Villas at the Grand Floridian was even more magical than our first 3 years ago. We stayed 6 nights in an upper floor 1 bedroom villa with a standard view of the main lobby and monorail station. Everything about this resort stay was amazing; breakfast at the Grand Floridian Cafe, the walkway to MK, the pools, the refurbished rooms, the ambiance, the proximity to parking, the walk way to the Polynesian, etc. I loved relaxing in the room at night with the doors open, and waking up to the view of monorails coasting by. The rooms are light and bright, and the new furniture is lovely. The lobby of the villas is gorgeous and the service provided by the cast members is exceptional. The penguins fountain is “practically perfect”! I plan to stay here again next May, and will no longer be doing a split stay with another resort. No other resort I have seen compares!

yes because because the studio doubles as the second bedroom.
A boat will take you from The Grand Floridian's dock to the Magic Kingdom's. You can take this same route in reverse. Another perk of staying at The Grand Floridian - from the same GF dock, you can watch the wonderful fireworks display taking place at the Magic Kingdom, complete with music. Of course you won't see Cinderella's Castle light show in its entirety, but so worth a stroll to the dock to see the fireworks.
