Overall we were very happy with our stay at Old Key West. We had a 1 bedroom villa and I can say that for my family of 5 it was perfect. The rooms are big, the beds comfortable and the full kitchen a nice plus....More
We always stay here, and we always adore it. It is quaint, friendly, casual, and in just the right location. Bus rides are quick to any place on property that you want to go. While the resort is on the older side, it's well maintained...More
Love this place. The peace and quiet of the buildings built around a golf course and on a small river..what else could a person ask for. Love the convenience of being able to take a boat for a nice cruise to DOWNTOWN DISNEY. Love the...More
This resort is great because it's room are larger than other deluxe resorts. It is located close to downtown Disney and Saratoga Springs resort which is a bit far from the parks. It is an amazingly themed resort and it was renovated not to long...More
Stayed here in June 2014 for 10 days and will be returning in October for a week as the resort is definitely one of my favourites in Orlando! The villa was pretty decent and was perfectly situated within a minute walk from the hospitality house

I second the turtle pond area, specifically the 29-33 buildings. We were there in January and those were the first buildings to be finished the renovations. We have been staying at OKW since 1995. We always stay at Turtle Pond. It has its own pool area, less traffic. I'd call them if you don't have access to anything online.

We stayed in a one bed villa mid October for 17 nights, we had the free Disney dining offer and with park hopper tickets 14 day it cost £5200 excluding flights, I would say that a two bed villa could be as much as £1500-1800 more,
I believe that the prices for that time should be out on Disney world holidays around Mid April ( based on experience)if you want to just price up a villa flights can be done independently approx 11 months before with full payment for them on booking, unless you book a fly drive with virgin holidays and then you could pay a deposit and pay off as you would a regular holiday.
the free dining may not come out until June they always say that they may not have it but they usually do, if there are only 4 of you ( depending on adults, children etc) I would say that the one bed apartment is plenty, any more than 4 or if all adults then consider two,
to be fair you will literally sleep there and that’s it maybe have a bit of cereal in the morning, other than that you are out most of the time so the difference in price may or may not be worth it 🤗
Hope that helps

"closest to the main pool and the hotel lobby would be the best choice."
