Newer Hotel with nice, modern, large rooms - But extremely noisy from rooms beside you, above you, and even directly across from you! Can hear running on the hall above you and talking in room across from yours even. Some night's noise level was until 1:30 - 2:00 am! Hard to get any sleep. When you get up early and spend all day in the Parks, it's exhausting with such little sleep due to guests in all the rooms around yours! Way too large, hectic, overcrowded, and noisy Hotel with no Hotel Management or Security to control group crowds, noise level, etc. Heating in room blows cold air. Refrigerator only minimally cool. Not sure if sheets on beds were changed even once during a 7 night stay. Half the washing machines on every 3rd floor were Out of Service. Food in the Restaurant is horrible. Not fresh at all, just kept warm for hours. Substitute eggs, dry pastries, etc. Continual long lines at Front Desk even late at night. Not enough, well trained Front Desk staff to meet your needs. Continuously running Hotel Shuttles overcrowd the bus before departing. With so many shuttles running continuously, this does not seem necessary. First experience with a Resort Hotel and will never stay in a Resort Hotel again. Perhaps the Hotels should monitor occupancy and not fill to capacity. Also try to assign reserved large youth groups all on one floor with all their rooms at one end of the floor next to each other to reduce disturbing other guests. It is a shame, as this is a really nice Hotel if it had been built better with soundproofing, improved appliances, etc. …
Great resort. Staff were friendly and efficient. Check in was smooth. It was great to have food options on site. Very convenient to have the park shuttle pickup and drop off right outside the resort. Loved the heated pool! Rooms were clean and well decorated. Wish we could have stayed longer
I booked Dockside because of the low prices to be honest and was very pleasantly surprised. I thought being a cheaper option that I may not love it, but I have to say I was wrong. I’m so happy with the decision and will absolutely stay here again. The beds and pillows were so comfy. The entire place was very well kept and clean. I have absolutely no complaints.
Dockside exceeded all our expectations. The rooms were clean and the mattresses were so comfortable! The top floor was quiet. The food court was convenient and delicious. The shuttle ran like clockwork.
Love this resort on property at Universal Studios Orlando! Price is affordable. Room is spacious and provides everything needed. Pool is large and spread out. Desk associates are friendly and helpful. Food in the cafeteria is yummy!
Room is good, the bed is comfortable and the sheets are soft, but it lacks a table and chairs (Cabana Bay has a table and chairs in the room). Is has a cleaning service every day, with clean, soft towels, but they do not clean the floor. The hotel address is not accepted in many stores (we tried Walmart, Kohl"s and Macy's and they callceled the purchase cause they could not confirm the address).
We had a wonderful two-night stay. We enjoyed the pool, the game room and dining at Pier 8. We took the shuttle to Citywalk for dinner. Everything was super convenient. The staff was very friendly at every point of contact. We had an easy, breezy time and will stay again for sure! The quality for the price is simply amazing.
Cudos to the staff. They moved us after a shrieking child made it impossible to sleep. I highly recommend tower 1, pool or park view. If a two bedroom suite is in your budget - go for it. So much more room than a regular room. Ask for a high floor. The view is spectacular and elevators work just fine at both ends of the building.
The room, pool, hotel amenities were all clean and great. The shuttle to and from Universal City/Parks were great - early access great... But checking in, checking out desk, and had issues getting clear information on the parks from the team on hand. Checkin - asked for if early check in was available, denied, they didn't even think about it - so we arrive at check in time, and had to wait in line - felt they should better staff themselves, but that all made worse when we talked to other guests to hear they infact checked in early... check out - airline changed flight to 8pm, so asked if late check out was an option, was told no, they were over booked... this was Sunday... based on everything we saw, and general rules, Sundays are not the busiest arrival times. I understand they run a business and not their fault but found the attitudes from the team was NO, or a cash grab we had to pay $30+ tax to check out at 2pm, didn't have much choice, but just felt the attitude or direction from the team was refuse or get money. Never experienced that before so that left a sour taste …
It was a lot of fun and we did almost all the rides' some three and four times. Seen a lot of things that were new to us. It was a nice get away from Wisconsin. Our trip home was not the best because our weather was -30 below a big change from Florida.
