Hi we stayed here -1- night while we visited my partners brother who is in the hospital. Very close to everything. Night male front desk person was very helpful. We would stay here again. Free parking. Excellent customer service when we spoke to the female reservation clerk. Excellent room.
Stayed here while visiting the WinterPark Art Festival as one of their recommended hotels. Location was OK, close to main streets so easy to get around. Parking out front. Not a good 1st impression with 8-10 men smoking right by the outside front door – ugh. Check in was quick and friendly. Room was average clean and everything worked. However, did find the previous guests’ medications and personal items in the nightstand which we returned into the front desk. Wifi had no password which was odd and far less secure. TV was very frustrating as there was no TV Guide channel so no idea what was showing when. There was only a list of channels. Lots of smallish pillows but prefer the normal big size. There was no Bible or the usual booklet with hotel info ex ice loc, pool hours, fire escape, emergency #s, local sites, restaurants etc so research beforehand. Breakfast was average – nothing exciting. Bit pricey in our opinion for the room. Place needs updating. Staff all pleasant and friendly. Would look around other area hotels next time but ok stay.…
Booked Comfort Suites downtown due to convenient location to Advent Health. The room was ok, the a/c didn’t keep the room cool through the night, we were on the first floor nearest the road which meant road noises all night long. Many construction workers were staying and the very limited parking lot was consumed by large construction vehicles and trailers. Thought we were going to have to park in the adjacent Wendy’s parking lot over night. The room had a musty smell and there was what looked like a dried pool of blood on the carpet just inside the door. The water pressure was good but the tub was chipped and there was some kind of outdated nonslip coating in the bottom of tub. For the price and location (convenient to Advent Health) and only a one night stay,it was ok. I probably would not choose this hotel again.…
Wow. We encountered some of the most horrible people on earth. These were the guests. Screaming and yelling in the parking lot, in the rooms on each side of ours. We thought they had their TV's turned up so we muted ours and listened. It turned out to be the guests fighting. The road noise was unbearable ALL night. The single pain windows do nothing to stop the noise and neither do the paper thin walls. The continental breakfast was none existent and while I commend them for trying they should just stop altogether during the pandemic. We will without a doubt never stay here again but take your chances if you feel adventurous but you won't be able to say I didn't warn you. LOL!!!
Spent 2 nights at this location. Room was nice and slept the 5 of us comfortably. Clean and reasonably priced. While breakfast was good, but the lady operating the breakfast area had the personality of stone. She lacked personality, never smiled, or spoke to anyone. Felt like we were being watched as we ate. Only other issue was parking. Very few spaces available and had to park across the street.
Hotels have one job: provide a good nights sleep and the Comfort Suites Downtown Orlando failed miserably in that responsibility. At about 11 pm I attempted to fall asleep when the couple next door decided to get into a heated argument. In most hotels this wouldn't be a big deal because the walls are thick enough to mask or muffle sounds, but not at this hotel, I could hear these people clear as a bell through the thin walls. In other hotels you can usually turn the A/C to a "fan" setting that emits white noise to drown out sounds but not this hotel. The A/C would go on for 10 minutes and off for 10 minutes. So I'd drift off to sleep while the fan was on and then get rudely waken when the fan went off and I heard the people in the next room. Around 12:30 am, with the couple next door still loudly yapping away, I had enough and went out to the front desk to ask about changing rooms. The clerk said he would go walk by my room to see if he heard the loud talking but could not do it that minute. OK, no problem. I went back and tried to get some sleep but that loud couple kept at it til 3 am in the morning! Needless to say the night clerk never checked or followed up with me. I had to wake up at 5 am so I barely got 2 hours sleep. And I had a job interview that morning! So if you must stay at this hotel bring ear plugs! The only reason I didn't give this place zero stars is because it is in a good location with a Wendy's and Panera Bread across the street, and the room itself was OK. But as you can tell I will never stay here again! Oh, and the room cost almost $200 for one night. So I basically paid $100 for each hour of sleep I was able to get.…
For medical reasons we have stayed at this hotel several times, the latest being a 5 night stay while my wife had surgery. We didn't know for certain how long she would be in so I made a reservation to take into account a few extra days just in case. I explained this to Joyce at the front desk when I checked in. Joyce is my rock star hero! She took great care of us and worked with me so that I could check out as soon as we knew when my wife was being discharged. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. The amenities are good, the breakfast buffet is more than sufficient to get a good start to the day. The room was always clean on arrival and the cleaning staff does a great job with daily cleanup. Also, they are flexible enough to make the room up a certain way (without duvet) so that it was comfortable for us. Thank you Comfort Suites. We will be back. Another great feature is that they have a hospital rate for families of those having procedures at the AdventHealth, Orlando hospital that saves about $50/night. Joyce richly deserves any promotion she might be in line for.…
We recently travelled to Orlando for a family medical emergency. We booked this hotel because it was near the hospital(s) and wanted something that was close in and affordable. We were not disappointed....Denese and Johnell made our visit exception with the can do attitude and caring for our needs, especially during a difficult time with the medical uncertainty. What was only supposed to be two days turned into four and the medical issues still persist. However, Denese was able to accommodate us and eased the costly burden of a lengthy stay. The room was magnificent and the full breakfast in the morning was enjoyable and quick so we could get right over to the hospital We will stay here again. It was a wonderful experience.
Liked · I slept very well. The hotel was quiet. The staff was friendly. The coffee was amazing! The television was ginormous (although positioned too low to view whole screen from bed). Having an alternative flavor (in addition to the normal flavor) for waffles each morning was very nice (blueberry one day; banana nut the next). Disliked · Artificial eggs and meat choices (powdered eggs, turkey bacon). Breakfast options were equal to most other hotels in the area (I've stayed at many), but the quality of those options were subpar. Need a second microwave (could sit right on top of the one already there) to deal with the competition for use. The show/tub faucet had to be hand-wrenched closed to stop the water from dripping (replace the washers?). The tub needs to be replaced. Some time ago a nonslip, textured patch was applied to a portion of the bottom of the tub, but the adhesive was poorly over applied; presenting the appearance of rust deposits along the bottom of the tub. The bathroom fan sounded like it was working (very loud), but the bathroom remained steamy for a very long duration after showers. This made it difficult to groom and dress in the bathroom after showering. The room always smelled musty upon entering. The A/C had a difficult time keeping the room cool on moderate days--outside high temps of 80 degrees so there really is no excuse. We had to put the A/C on 67 degrees to get the room to 72 degrees--even then, the humidity was very high.…
***EDITED TO RESPOND TO MANAGEMENT I edited this review to respond to management who incorrectly commented on my previous review below that the smoke and burning smell was due to dust in the heater, "which is common". That is COMPLETELY untrue, as we used the heater the night before with no issues. There was visible smoke in the room and you could see melted damage inside of the heater after the incident. The gentlemen who came to look at the heater was appalled and apologized profusely. Tell me how dust would only cause a problem the second night we used the heater? Management's previous response is a great example of management at this facilty not taking responsibility or caring about their clients. Hopefully they actually fix the heater in that room instead of denying the issue. Avoid this hotel! Unsafe and unfair pricing. When a faulty heater in our room started smoking and set off the fire alarm in the middle of the night, we were moved to a new room due to the obvious unsafe environment. It was super scary, thank God we woke up or it might have caught fire with my children in the bed right next to it. When we checked out in the morning, we discovered we were charged a higher amount for the room difference. Most establishments would knock off a little if their room almost caught on fire and smoked at midnight, causing you to have to move rooms with your sleeping children in the middle of the night. Not this place. Management was unconcerned and unhelpful. Would not recommend due to safety issues and pricing practices.…
