Full disclosure, we didn't actually stay here. We took the skyride to check out a couple of the resorts, and we fully enjoyed strolling about the grounds. The buildings were so fun, it looked like a great place to stay with kids.
Our family of 5 (plus a dog) stayed in a Lion King suite and we were pleasantly surprised by the amount of room we had. Loved that we had two bathrooms! Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Did not have maid service but there was a cart in the hallway with towels so it easy to get new ones. If you are on a budget this property works out very well. Skyliner was a great and fast option to get to Epcot and Hollywood Studios rather then taking a bus. Pros: Every employee during our whole stay was super friendly and went above and beyond. Loved the skyliner. We had no issues with the food. It was cafeteria food and there was a nice selection. Of course, it is Disney, so you are going to pay more. Don't complain - that is to be expected. Cons: Check in line was very long and they did not have a concierge or customer service representative to just ask a question. We had to pay to take a taxi to bring the dog to doggie day care every day. When we made a reservation we were told that we could take a free shuttle. Total stay spent over $200 shuttling the dog back and forth. Because we were upset about this we did get a complimentary taxi ride on the first day only. If travelling on a budget we highly recommend this property!…
I like the layout of the room and with 4 teens and 2 parents it was big enough for all to sleep. The 2 bathrooms are nice. The disappointment was being told that your phone will do everything for you. I could not get into the building with my phone, because you need a separate key for the building. Another guest let us in. We did get into our room with our phone. I went to guest services and was given a key to park at the parks for free and told that the phone opens the doors. I still could not get into the building. Another trip to guest services and I was told that I was given the wrong info. The phone only opens the room. You need a separate key to open the building, get into the parking at the park and the parking at the room and then tickets to the park. I finally got all that fixed on our 3rd day of aggravation and someone else letting us in. I also needed toliet paper. It was never refilled. I called at 7 am for toliet paper and at 9pm , we still did not have toliet paper. 2 phone calls later, being disconnected and waiting for an other hour, I finally got toliet paper. 13 hours for paper is ridiculous, so bring some from home in case they cant get it to you. For over $750/night, you'd think we could get toliet paper. …
Very pleased with our stay! We arrived at 7am, were going to drop off our luggage as checkin is at 3pm. As soon as we got thru the entrance gate, got a phone notification that our room was ready. Decided to stop at front desk to verify. Boys were amazed with the lobby. It is spectacular- everything is so glossy and the bigger than life artwork everywhere. Greeted immediately and he assured our room was indeed ready and made sure all 4 magic bands appeared to be linked to room and park tickets. Here for 7 days, everything was clean, our room was cleaned 3 times- trash emptied and fresh towels and our beds were made twice. Comfy beds, good showers. We had the suite with 2 bathrooms. I had enough space to do my exercise on quest vr each day. Enough storage for our stay. Plenty of outlets and usb. Our boys loved the pool. On 4th floor in building 10, didn’t have any issues with extra noise. Lines at skyliner were long in the early morning but still able to make it for the extra 30min for resort guests. Did minnie van to magic and also did bus- all good. Very happy with the laundry facilities. It is $3.25 for wash and same to dry- thought it would be way more than that!! There is powder detergent and bounce sheets in machine for $1. All equipment worked well and fast. Saw one washer out of order and saw the serviceman the next day. We had coffee everyday from the quick service- it was very good. The only other thing we got from there was ice cream bars. The ride on the skyliner is so pretty during the day and night. We always wanted the unwrapped ones so our view would be good. Nice to return to our room after a long day in the park. We walked around every area - there is more theming in the cars area. All done so well. Loved the birds that would say “Mine! Mine!” every 15min. Lyft will come to your area in resort- just select from dropdown. Would be a dream for young kids, but great for all ages. Really enjoyed our stay and real kudos to the housekeeping team- one night they did a bowtie with the blanket on our bed. Smores on certain nights and movies at the pool. It was perfect for us!!!…
We paid $600 for 2 nights , and both nights were kept up by loud guests above us first night and outside the second night . Seems windows are not insulated well. Called the hotel for late checkout due to trying to nap, or some type of apology and got nothing . Even at the parks the staff at a restaurant in Hollywood were rude , seems like Disney has lost some magic. We will stay off property at Embassy or a Hilton next time we come to Orlando.
Our son (who has autism) picked this resort to visit and we stayed in one of the Cars themed suites. Our son was over the moon. Be prepared for a lot of kids, but overall the rooms are comfortable and all the amenities are close at hand. We loved being able to catch the bus to the parks or use the Skyliner. We did have an issue, but Shelby and the manager helped us out 110%! We were amazed and grateful for the truly over and beyond help they provided. Disney has our loyalty!!! Also, the food was good, the pools lovely and the movies at night, just perfect.
My daughter and I have stayed at a few of the Disney resorts. This is by far our favorite one! It is SO cute, inside and out!! The room (Nemo) was awesome! Having an extra bathroom is super nice. The beds (in the bedroom & the table bed) were very comfortable. We enjoyed taking the Skyliner to Hollywood Studios and Epcot. The day we went to the Magic Kingdom the line for the bus was fairly long, but the buses came on schedule and we were there in no time. This will be our go to resort for future visits.
We stayed here for a few days before going on a Disney Cruise. We had the Finding Nemo room. Kids absolutely loved it. All 3 Pools were excellent. The theming around the resort was amazing from cars, to little mermaid, nemo, and lion king. This hotel gave you the great Disney feels.
I don't really care for value hotels at Disney but options were slim when we booked. I prefer hotels to motels but I won't review it based on my hotel preferences. I am not giving it a 5 for a few reasons. 1. When my plane landed I got a text saying my room was ready. My app was all set up to proceed to my room and my Magic Band was linked. I was in the farthest Little Mermaid building from the lobby. My door would not unlock with my app or band and the app told me to go to the check in desk. I lugged all my stuff to the lobby and waited in line. They did some typing and sent me on my way. Thankfully they also had an employee meet me at my room, just in case it didn't work. Luckily it all worked. It was just an inconvenience and I shouldn't have had that issue. 2. I had to call maintenance to help with my shower- it had been twisted so tight that it took the worker more muscle power than I had to turn it. He said it was because it dripped so they really tightened it. Sure enough, no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get it to stop dripping (lots of water was wasted). 3. The room is just pretty spartan. There was also no where comfortable to sit. On the plus side, the Skyliner was great, the Flippin Fins' pool was mellow (compared to the super busy Big Blue Pool), the cafeteria was fine but definitely use the mobile ordering feature to save time! It was a 7-10 minute walk to the Skyliner and the Skyliner does require a transfer over at Caribbean. There was never a line at AoA but there was sometimes a little one at the transfer station. I would budget 30 minutes to travel to the parks. …
This was our first time staying at the AOA suites. While our stay was overall positive, I will start by saying I do believe the suites are overpriced. The location along the Skyliner is unbeatable however being able to get to EPCOT and HS in under 10 minutes is sweet. However our first day the Skyline was experiencing problem, it took us 30 minutes to get to EPCOT and by the time we got there the extra 30 minutes for hotel guest was gone. So... The room itself is well themed but still feels like a well dressed motel room, the Nemo suites just feel drab it isn't the decor, it is in fact the lighting that makes it feels that way. I also don't like the tile floors, I know they are more sanitary and easier to clean but with kids and the high beds it is a cold, hard floor. The sofa bed is really comfortable, the Murphy bed not so much. There are no closets, just hall trees. There was enough storage for our family of 4 but I would have preferred closets. We had no issues with housekeeping like other guest. Our room was very clean. The food court was fine. I stayed at AoA years ago so new what to expect and what not to expect. Disney is expensive, the resorts are expensive and so is the food. No surprises there. The pool and splash areas are nice and heated though I wish they would heat them more especially at night. The soundproofing could be better from floor to floor. …
