There are not enough superlatives to use about this resort. Its the best in every way, you will not be disappointed. The one bedroom villa was spacious and clean and brand new. The pools were great and the hot tubs were as well. I highly recommend this resort.

Hotel's Favourite
This was the third time we have stayed at the Boulder Ridge Villas at the Disney's Wilderness lodge. We love the laid back feeling of the resort, especially the rocking chairs in the central area. Staff was excellent at the resort and the housekeeping team went out of their way to be of assistance to us. Had issue with getting into room with phone, but quickly resolved with visit to front desk (turned out to be my own issue). Eating options were good, although the atmosphere at the Whispering Canyon Cafe was not quite the same due to the Covid restrictions; but two thumbs up to the wait staff for making the best of a bad situation. The Boulder Ridge Cove Pool was great and the bar/food attendant was efficient and made sure we always had what we needed. Others have noted the dating of the rooms, but we feel this adds to the character of the resort. Look forward to staying at the Boulder Ridge Villas again in the future.

Wilderness Lodge was always our favorite hotel so we were thrilled to get a reservation at Boulder Ridge, a one bedroom villa facing Bay Lake. Check in was easy, we just got a text to tell you your room is ready. We had issues at the beginning because our magic bands wouldn't open the door. After that, everything was great. Plenty of shelves and drawers. The kitchen area was set up strange, where the fridge door kept hitting the wall. The quiet pool is close by and you can also use the hotel's pool. Bus transportation to the parks was very close by but we couldn't hear the noise. A great stay and we'll be back!

This trip was great. The location was fantastic, the room was spotless, and the staff was very accommodating. The resort buses was on time, and the crowds were very manageable. Check-in was very easy, and check-out was very simple.

Going to Disney World is something me and my family do very often (nearly monthly) as a result we stay at a lot of different resorts. Wilderness Lodge is by far one of our favourites, one reason for this is because of the laid-back feel of the Resort, even with kids all around. The resort has a magical main pool, with a small water slide, which does get quite busy in the day and at night. There is also a smaller pool which doesn't get as busy. There is normally an activity going on for kids in the pool as well as for adults. Transportation at this resort is very good as there is a boat that will take you to and from Magic Kingdom as well as a bus service to the other parks and Disney Springs. The food options are amazing as well, even if they are a bit pricey, then again it is Disney. I recommend when you are staying here that if you need a certain room to put in a room request as soon as possible as rooms are on high demand and are on a first come first served bases, this also includes if you need a pack-n-play for you child. I love this resort so much and hope to come back.

Just finished a 4 night stay. What an amazing resort! Stayed in a deluxe studio facing the walkway between Boulder ridge and wilderness lodge. Rooms have just been refurbished so are brand new! Configuration of studio is queen, pull down double and single pull down Murphy bed. Lots of storage including under main bed. Kitchen has toaster, microwave, coffee maker and sink. Weirdly no sink plug. I called reception and they said they don’t do plugs anymore. Strange as they provided dishwashing liquid, a dish sponge and tea towels. They did provide paper plates and cups. The dvc rooms are only a few minutes walk to the main lodge and the closest to the buses. The ferry is also close by. Ferry took 8.5 minutes to magic kingdom and bus took 7.5 minutes. Lots of activities at the hotel including a free 9am tour which explains the history and architecture. Well worth doing. It really is a wilderness setting, heaps of squirrels and saw a large owl at dusk.

I love the Disney Vacation Club resorts. The theming of the recently renovated room is perfect. We wanted to take the stairs and ended up in a cast members only area. I do like taking stairs especially since we had a room on the 2nd floor. I don’t recommend doing that. If you end up in our situation their is a side door near some bushes that your room key opens. Disney has recently updated the coffee makers. It’s a dual kuerig with a regular 12 cup drip (takes the same filters as old style ) on the side. It was so good we might buy one when we get home. It’s like having the best of both worlds. A quick one cup in the afternoon or a full pot for the morning. We had a room facing the cabins at the back. The view was nice and we heard the birds chirping with the occasional boat horn in the distance. The TVs were large and the coach was comfortable. Sometimes the Dvc coaches can be a little rough feeling. The dishwasher is as a little noisy, I would recommend running it while your at the parks. The DVC pool was very nice, we spent a night relaxing in the hot tub while talking to friends. My husband grabbed drinks for us at the outside bar, they let you take them to go just ask for plastic. I tried going to the lobby for a drinks, I should have gone outside. If you do their is a lounge over by the fire place. Go to the left of it and it’s on the left hand side. If you get to the turn in the hallway you went to far. It’s a little awkward to find but nice for a drink if it’s cold out. The only way to easily get to magic kingdom or anywhere else is by car bus or boat (MK). Other than that it was a great hotel and I might stay at the same resort next year.

It is a very quiet and relaxing property. Boat is available to get to and from the Magic Kingdom. Bus for everything else. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Multiple restaurants on property. A couple of pools and workout facilities also on property.

Beautifully renovated 1 bedroom room. Everything was new and looked great. Highlights were the pull down Murphy bed, spacious master bedroom and lots of Mickey Mouse artwork. The majority of the rooms were empty as the renovations were being completed.

I stayed at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge-Boulder Ridge Villas in September, 2022. I stayed in a Deluxe Studio. The idea behind the Wilderness Lodge is to make you feel like you are staying at a lodge in a national park. And this is accomplished admirably, from entering the resort area, to the beautiful lobby, to the magnificent grounds. I have stayed at most of the Disney Deluxe Resorts and visited all of them, and in my opinion, Wilderness Lodge is perhaps the most beautiful of all; Animal Kingdom Lodge’s Jambo House lobby might be more impressive, but the grounds around Wilderness Lodge are nicer. I stayed in the Boulder Ridge building, which adjoins the main building. The resort has a beautiful main pool, with a small water slide. There is also a “quiet pool.” There is a daily pool party for the kids at the main pool (some activities are also fun for adults). One of the best amenities is the boat that goes to and from Magic Kingdom—very convenient! Now about my room. Unfortunately, I had the dreaded “Dumpster view” room. Not really Dumpsters, but a view overlooking the towel laundry facility. C’mon Disney—can’t you put an awning over it so people paying so much for a room don’t see it? The Boulder Ridge building is being refurbished, and the rooms completely re-done. So I won’t bother addressing some issues with the room, as hopefully they will be taken care of in the refurbishment. This was my second stay at Wilderness Lodge, and I can honestly say I miss it and eagerly look forward to going back someday.
