This is our home away from home. The atmosphere of wilderness,!rustic iron and fireplaces are amazing. I feel like I'm at Yellowstone, but with all the luxury. Great job here Disney! Our favorite place to go at Disney. New Geyser point bar and grill is...More
As we planned our 25th wedding anniversary, we chose the Boulder Villas @ Disney's Fort Wilderness Lodge. What a wonderful choice as Mickey always does it with style and class. The villa came with all the amenities including jacuzzi garden tub with pass through half...More
Our group of 3 adults and 2 kids had a wonderful stay at Boulder Ridge. Our 6-day stay was very peaceful. Even though it is located in the Magic Kingdom "loop", most of the bus trips were less than 20 minutes; the longest bus ride...More
We stayed in Boulder Ridge Villas, but they are opening up a new section called Copper Creek Villas. Due to that they have built on a wonderful pool for kids & adults. This gives your 2 pools to choose from. There is a new area...More
Spent a week at the Boulder villas with 3 adult children, my husband and 5 kids age 2-8. This is a great location if you are a Magic Kingdom buff. Boat transport to MK and other MK hotels was the best. Not too crowded, easy...More

I've seen them in the past here and other resorts but not on this past trip. I believe the hotel is on conservation land and its next to a big lake. So yes there is snakes and it's Florida (there's gators and snakes everywhere). Just need to be on the lookout (read the signs posted) and you should be fine. I've traveled to Disney over 40 times and never had an issue. Have you been to Florida before?

I would honestly suggest not staying at Boulder Ridge and insisting on rooms in the main lodge. Our experience at Boulder Ridge was awful from start to finish. Wilderness Lodge is a great place to stay but the housekeeping at Boulder Ridge is SO bad. We were given two different rooms and both were dirty.

The boat to Magic Kingdom is quite a walk from the Villas, but the ride is neat compared to the buses. The bus pick up/drop off is near the Villas, but with a double stroller and a toddler I didn't like the buses. I had to break down the stroller, with two kids in tow. No fun. Next time we will be staying off the Monorail. Otherwise I liked the Wilderness Lodge. We did use Uber a couple of times to get to the parks, such as our day at Animal Kingdom. They stopped at a convenience store on the way for us too.
