Great walkability to Disney Springs for evenings out. Loved the property and all the walking paths along the lakes. Great for being able to cook and have meals in the full kitchen to be able to visit the parks via bus.
My husband, son and I are frequent DisneyWorld visitors (about 2-3 times per year). We love trying out new Disney resorts. For this trip, we decided to stay at Saratoga Springs, a resort we’ve stayed at many times before. With its updated look, It definitely feels like a new resort, and we really enjoyed exploring it all over again. Our check-in was a breeze. I checked in on the My Disney app and they texted me when my room was ready. When we arrived a few hours later, we went straight to our room and were able to open it up with our phone. We went to the front desk because our magic bands weren’t working when we tried to open the door, and they fixed it right away—the customer service here was top notch! We had a Deluxe studio and it was a great size for our family of three. The small kitchenette with a mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave was all we needed to do quick breakfasts in the room. We had two queens—the main bed and a Murphy bed that came out over the couch—we really liked this feature. The one thing we wished the room had was a small dining table, even if it had one or two chairs, because we found it hard for us to sit and eat; we had to sit on the beds and eat which wasn’t ideal. We love the vinyl floors, not only is it beautiful, but also so much cleaner than carpet. We didn’t use the buses, because we didn’t want to have to wait. Since we drove, it was easy for us to drive to the parks ourselves, which we highly recommend. If you park a car at the resort, Disney charges 25 dollars per night. This will carry over to the parks, if you decide to drive yourself there. My recommendation is to purchase preferred parking (normally 50 a day, but you’ll get it for 25 since you’re staying on property). This gives you the ability to park right in the front—you can also use it at all parks for that day. We really love this resort and can’t wait to come back!…
Great location and great property. Always maintained very well. Just try and look beyond the political aspects of the company. We did not go to any of the parks this trip. It was just a get away for my wife and myself.
This is a great place to call home for the week there was 6 of us in the connected room, this was the first time for all of us to start a vacation together ,the room was super clean . easy to the bus, about two blocks away the pool was also blocking away. The staff was so nice and every morning new towel and supplies outside the room .You leave the used towels outside and they pick them up.. The pool and hot tub were super clean, lifeguards on duty until 10 PM. Planning a vacation next year and will book in the same area. The walking trail were easy to handle, very safe the buses schedule was posted on the bus stops. From the area you can walk to Downtown Disney about 20 minutes ,as you walk the path you walk by the lake . So if you stay this it the place to be .
ROOM - The room we stayed in for a week as a one bedroom DVC Villa. This room had a entire kitchen and living area as well a huge bathroom and bedroom. The room was recently renovated last year. It contains the new features of a modern horse stable with white, Disney accents and the New York Saratoga springs theming. Although it just received a renovation some of the room felt like it was falling apart or cheaply redone. from the shades on the closet door to the plastic molding on the shower door, there were a few things that needed fixing. Our room had a view of the golf course on the first floor. We stayed in the Grandstand Buildings. One of the several groups of buildings around the resort. This building is perfect for transportation. AMENITIES - This resort has several pools and activities. From bike rentals, to golf this resort is all about recreation. Some of the free activities include 2 pools with large water slides located around the resort and more leisure pools with just a pool. There is also the Senses spa which is a large Spa that you can pay for. As well as the gym. The gym is massive and has tons of options for all types of workouts. There is also a gift shop connected to the main eating quick service option in the lobby with tons of souvenirs. FOOD - This resort has a sit down restaurant called The Turf Club Bar & Grill. There is also a quick service place called Artisans Palet which has Mobil order and grab and go options. There are several pool bars nearby the main pools. These serve snacks and drinks. I personally only tried a pizza from the Artisans Palet. It was decent. TRANSPORTATION - This is a key to picking a Disney Resort. This resort has serval bus stops located around the resort. When the bus comes into the resort it stops at all of the stops around the resort before heading off to wherever you’re headed to. The Grandstand is the best building area because it is the first stop that the bus will stop at so you’ll be gourenteed a seat on the bus, but you will also have to stop at every stop in the resort which can take around 10-20 minutes until you leave the resort. The grandstand is slso a short walk to the Springs bus stop which is the last stop on the resort before it heads off to wherever you’re going. The downside of the last stop is it may be crowed due to it being last and everyone is already on. The Springs stop is also closest to the Lobby, Gym, and walking path to Disney Springs & Boat Launch. This resort has walking distance to Disney Springs the main shopping district at Walt Disney World. There is also a boat that will take you to Disney Springs and to Old Key Wedt Resort and Port Orleans Resort. SERVICE - Service is something that Disney tries to strive to keep at excelent quality. Although a few cast members seemed not very interested in helping guests. Service is still very good at Guest Services in the lobby. OVERALL- This resort is very nice. I rarely heard anyone around the room at night. Very nice and quiet. Worth the points (DVC) or money. I enjoy this resort every time I stay here.…
This resort is out of this world. Every stay I have had at this resort has created a wonderful environment and value as a Vacation club member! Clean, roomy and amenities are so amazing. The several bars and restaurants made this stay even more convenient and made me feel like I was in the lap of luxury,
This is an excellent resort that has a very laid back feel to it. The rooms were very well maintained, spacious and clean. One slight issue, the bi-fold door to the laundry closet needed to be repaired during our stay. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel right at home. The resort is only a scenic 15 minute walk from Disney Springs (shopping and restaurants). There are also a variety of dining options right on the resort. The bus ride to all any of the parks took about 20 minutes. There are also a number of swimming pools on sight.
The worst Disney experience ever! We have been DVC members for 14 years and have never been treated the way or experienced anything like the way we were there. No customer service manners at all!! Got Lockwood out of the room and not let in for almost 45 minutes. Told to wait in our room to let maintenance in to change battery because it would not take long. After 2 hours, I called back to front deak to see when they would come. They said it was marked as completed. NOPE. Three and a half hours later we got to leave to enjoy the park. That night at 4:50 AM. Woke up to the fire alarm going off! Called front desk and transferred to 911. Come to find out (you guessed it), the battery need changed. That was an hour ordeal but you are so startled from being woke up that way and having to get dressed so they can come to your room it took a while to go back to sleep. They thought the Genie plus for the day was the answer. VERY disappointed!!!…
This is a beautiful resort that feels away from it all but is still so close. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The restaurant and bar are very close to all the rooms and a pool is never far from you. This is our favorite resort to stay at when coming to Disney.
We stayed at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa for 6 nights in a one bedroom villa. When we arrived, a room was ready but it was not in the location I requested and it was on the first floor which I was unhappy with. Richard worked with me to get me the location I requested in the Paddock section on the third floor. He said the room was not ready but I could wait for it which I chose to do. I am glad I chose to wait. It was an easy walk to the bus stop, the Carriage House and Disney Springs. The room was spotless. Housekeeping came once to clean the room and a few times to pick up the trash. We had everything we needed in the room. Everyone we encountered at the resort was lovely. We had no problem with the Disney buses and never waited more than 10 minutes. My husband enjoyed his round of golf at the course on the property. I would definitely stay here again.…
