I am currently staying at this resort. My family of four ran out of toilet paper this morning. I called the front desk asking they send some. It's been over an hour. I have called several times so they could say how sorry they were that it was taking so long. Not sure if we are going to make it. I guess TP isn't included in the 35 dollar a night resort fee.
Background......we live about 40 minutes from Disney. Before moving to Florida last year from NY we traveled many times to Disney and always stayed in Deluxe resorts with our 2 boys. We are now Florida residents and recently purchased the Florida resident tickets for 3 days for myself and husband. We love Epcot and decided to to the Food and Wine festival and get a room so we could have a few drinks and not worry about driving home. I looked at Boardwalk and Beach and Yacht and prices were about $400 per night. I checked the Dolphin and it came out with fees to about $250.00 with $30 paid separately for parking which we would have paid $25 to park at Epcot anyway. We arrived at 9 am thinking we would have to store our luggage, but our room was actually ready so we checked in dropped off bag and off we went. Our room was 10164, 2 double beds .The room was clean ,sheets were clean, bathroom was clean, there were plenty of towels, toiletries and Dasani water bottles, which was a pleaseant surprise. The staff was friendly ,there are plenty of dining options at hotel and the grounds were attractive. Cant beat it for the price, short walk to Epcot and Boardwalk area with alternative dining options. I am a clean fanatic and really found no issue as people have previous posted.…
My wife and I just finsihed a 2 night stay at the Dolphin(7/17-7/18). Overall, they seem to be doing better than Disney in restoring service. That said, it would have been nice if they told us at check-in that the room would not be made up. They compensated by having plenty of clean towels in the room. They also must have some challenges getting people back to work or finding quality employees. Some are very good, some appear to be still learning the ropes. You should consider staying here if you are visiting Epcot and the Hollywood studios because the boat service is great and both parks are within a 15 minute walk.
What can I say that hasn't already been said in other reviews - they are spot on. The rooms in this place are dirty and horribly dated. They will still charge $300/night plus an extra $70 in resort fees and parking but will provide zero housekeeping and no room service. Sorry, but Covid is no longer an excuse. The location is obviously great but the rooms are downright depressing. The lobby bar is stupid expensive ($60 for two double crown and cokes). This is not NYC - this is Orlando. Give this place a hard pass.
This place is dated and really shows serious wear. We are completely unsatisfied with this experience. The hallways are dirty and full of trash. The carpet is worn out from housekeeping carts. The room (6020) smells and had jam stains on the floor. The bathroom door won’t open all the way and it complete. They also never told us at check in that they only provide room cleaning every 4 days. We also waited almost 20 minutes to check in as the desk staff was flirting with a guest. Our check in took about 2min. We were second in line and waited 20 for the person in front of us. We will never be back and would not recommend it. The only bright notes were Sophia in housekeeping who actually helped us as well as the bartender at the adult style pool.
