As far as Disney Resorts go, I was very pleased with our stay at The Contemporary! Our room was very nice, spacious, comfortable, clean, and decorated very nicely. So far, our favorite Deluxe Resorts are this and The Yacht Club. You can't go wrong at...More
Walking distance to Magic Kingdom plus Disney perks make this worth a look. We have stayed in the garden portion, but really spent only a few hours sleeping before heading out again. The Chef Mickeys character breakfast is also on site. There are nicer resorts...More
Decided to stay at the Contemporary to finish off a week at Disney World and the Wilderness Lodge. We wanted to try the Contemporary and it turned out to be a big disappointment.
We checked in on the 1st of August and the process was...More
This is a nice hotel--I do prefer the newer rooms that was recently built for the vacation club. Very nice amenities and modern. My son likes that he can see the monorail from within the hotel, and enjoys Chef Mickey. A convenient way to get...More
Five of us stayed here. 2 Grandparents, 2 parents and one grandchild. Our main reason for staying here on this trip was because our son had great memories from his first childhood Disney trip 30 years prior. His first WDW trip, his first Mickey waffle,...More

To be fair, I have not stayed at the Beach Club, so hope someone else can help you with that. The first time we stayed on property our boys were 5 and 9.....MANY years ago. We stayed at the Contemporary in the garden wing. If staying there, do get a ground floor room so the boys can have easy access to the grounds and pool. We now stay in the Tower rooms. I love seeing the monorail from the door to our room and smile when remembering our little boys at Chef Mickey’s. Also the view of Bay Lake or Magic Kingdom and fireworks is amazing from your room. Now, if the Magic Kingdom will be your main focus, the Contemporary is the place to stay. You can ride the monorail from inside the hotel or walk in about 15 minutes to the MK. The bus transportation to all other parks is great as well with a large covered waiting area with benches just outside the main hotel entrance. We never waited more than a few minutes. Once you have made your decision and reservations, be sure to follow Disney advice and book fast passes and make a few dining reservations so none of you are disappointed. I’m excited for you! If you have more questions, we have 45 years of Disney World memories to share. Good luck!
